Bouke Wines - Review

Our entire line of wines can be served with confidence in their quality and ability to complement food. They can be trusted as a stylish gift. They go with food that we really eat – Asian and Southwestern cuisines, salads, pastas, wraps, cheese, seafood, barbecue, take-out.

The wines are very drinkable, have finesse, are well-balanced, and offer an everyday pleasure for the senses. The labels are alluring, the wines’ colors are gorgeous, their aromas are seductive and charming, their bodies have a pleasing weight, and their textures are smooth from the entry through the finish.

Bouké and Bouquet wines are all blends, with an appealing sequence of aromas and flavors. We take care to preserve the fruit aromas and freshness of the grapes, and emphasize the volume and mouthfeel of the wines. The blends do not conform to AOC formulas, but work beautifully with locally grown grapes and integrate extremely well. As a result, we showcase the best of New York terroir with time-honored traditions of French quality.

These great wines are brought to you by Lisa Donneson Founder & Proprietor, and Gilles Martin Consulting Winemaker

Lisa Donneson  founded Bouké® in 2007 to satisfy the tastes of an emerging generation of American wine drinkers who share her belief that wine should be an everyday pleasure for the senses.

Gilles Martin joins Lisa Donneson as Bouké’s® consulting winemaker. His worldwide career as a master blender equips him ideally to reveal the intense aromas, rich colors, and lively flavors that are the essence of the terroir of Long Island’s North Fork

My Review:

I was so very excited when found out I had the opportunity to review Bouké Wines. I was very fortunate to try 3 bottles of  BOUKÉ  Wines. When the Fex Ex box arrived, I could not wait to open it. The wines were packed so very well, with care.  My job is very stressful, and being a working mother that just adds to my hectic life. But I love my life and would not change it. At times I love to relax and get away from the stress of life with a nice glass of wine.

And I wanted to try the White Wine first, we frequently eat chicken and I thought this would pair nicely with the  chicken caprese that I was making for dinner.  The wine had a nice flavor, and went well with the meal. The wine was crisp and flavorful. I am sure this would work well with cooking as well. I have a white wine chicken recipe I will have to dig up. I would love to try this wine with that recipe.  The red wine was my favorite of the trio. The wine went well with our pasta dinner, I will have to share this with my mother, she is a wine lover like me.

My husband’s favorite was the dessert wine. I served this wine with a homemade flowerless chocolate cake I made. It went wonderfully with the chocolate. This was a get way to end the evening and spend some quality time with each other, just enjoying life.

I am going to share this wonderful wine with my family. When I visit my parents for our big Christmas Eve dinner I will be bringing this delightful wine. As I mentioned, my  mother is quite the wine lover and I am sure she will be impressed with the delicious wines from BOUKÉ wines.  The wines are affordable and delicious. The wines I received averaged from $18.99 to $20.99 for the red and the white. The dessert wine a little more at $39.99 but, you get what you pay for, this is a very special wine.

BOUKÉ wines have won awards the most recent being:

2010 BOUKÉ® ROSÉ

Bouké is excited to be the exclusive wine sponsor of the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions, which is celebrating 15 years of the world’s best squash in Grand Central Terminal from January 20-26, 2012.

With the holiday season right around the corner, why not pick up some BOUKÉ Wines to bring to your holiday celebration. The wines would be great with a New Year’s dinner get together.
