Our top 10 queue's in Walt Disney World

In the Bugs Life line!

We all know that part of the Disney experience is waiting in line.... Here is a list of our favorite lines~

Here is a list of our top 10 queue's in WDW: (line waiting areas)

10. The Jungle Cruise: It's themed well and fits the ride. It has a similar feeling to the queue of Expedition Everest in my opinion. You get the impression that you're not in central Florida anymore.
-
9. Muppet Vision 3-D: It's not much of a queue, it's just a big room but the pre show movie still makes us laugh  even after seeing it soooo many times.
-
8. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The new interactive honey walls are really fun and help to pass the time if you're stuck in the stand by line.
-
7. Tower of Terror: Even though I've only ridden (do we technically ride this?) this attraction once, I have to admit the queue is pretty awesome. From the dust to the tea cup covered in spider webs you believe this is an abandoned hotel.
-
6. The Haunted Mansion: The ghost horse pulling the carriage, the tomb stones, the howling dog. This is a great queue and once inside the stretching room is still fun. I love hearing first timers trying to figure out if the room is actually stretching or the floor lowering.
.
5. Toy Story Midway Mania: Giant versions of the toys a lot of us gre up with, the used and unused crayons are fun, it's obvious Andy has a thing against girly colors:-)!
.
4. Space Mountain: My husband lobbied for Space Mountain, I'm not a coaster fan at all but he's been on it countless times and has every stitch of music from the ride on his Zune this is one of his favorite attractions. The interactive games are nice but if you play your cards right and ride at the right time you'll just stroll right past them.
.
3. Test Track: I'm pretty sure we're all pretty intimate with the Test Track queue, after 12 years the ride system still is wonky and we've all been stuck waiting for the ride to come back on line. Getting past the wonky system the queue is pretty cool, it conveys it's thought well and is spot on.
.
2. Star Tours: I'm married to a Star Wars nerd, he admits it proudly:-)! I'm not much of a Star Wars nerd but I must admit that this is a great queue, from the robots, working on the shuttles, to C-3PO greeting you, you are transported to that galaxy far, far away. Can't wait to ride 2.0 in Disney Land in a few months!

And the number one is!

1. Expedition Everest: As I stated before I'm not a coaster kinda gal, but I've walked though the queue a few times with my husband. He keeps pressing me to try it once and I'm not budging! I've been in the queue a couple of times and it really does feel like you're in Nepal/Tibet. Even though the Yeti seems to be stuck in disco mode this is still the queue of all queues in WDW.

My review:

VitaTops(http://www.vitalicious.com) where do I begin? First word that came to my mind was yummy! We like to get up and out early on the weekends for a tradition breakfast isn't in the cards for us usually, we like something quick and easy, so when I introduced my husband and daughter to VitaTops this past weekend they were both intrigued. It's the best part of the muffin, the top! And here's the kicker, they're only 100 calories, contain 4-10 grams of fiber and have very little fat! Not only do they taste good, but they're a good for you! And they're kosher, and have no added preservatives.

We received a super sampler box which contained 2 each of 10 different flavor muffin tops and 4 brownies, or as my husband called it the Noah's ark of muffin top samplers. When they arrived we each tried a different flavor, I had the Triple Chocolate Chunk, my husband went straight for the Pumpkin, and my daughter had Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip. After they took a spin in the microwave for about 20 seconds we dug in and we're amazed with how good they are! As the week went by we were able to sample every flavor and they are all delicious! These are top quality muffins, they actually taste as good as they look, and after tasting them you'll be saying no way these things can only be 100 calories! It can't get any easier than 20 seconds in the microwave, (or you can toast them) you can grab and go no matter how busy you are all you need is 20 seconds to ensure you're having a decent meal to start your day with. And after dinner when you're looking for something a little sweet that's where the VitaBrownie comes in all the taste or a regular brownie without the guilt of eating something bad for you, and you can even try the muffins frozen for a sweet treat! From muffins to brownies to breakfast sandwiches Vitalicious has it all, if you're looking for a healthy alternative they'll have it.

The Key to the Kingdom Book - review (And a giveaway)

"Every locked door holds something behind it . . ."

http://www.keytothekingdombook.com/

About the Author: (From the website)

Jeff Dixon was raised in Florida and has always been fascinated with the man Walt Disney and the theme park he created. Dixon feels that any guest who would take the time to look would discover a story that will never be completed. It is against this canvas that Dixon paints this mystery, adventure, and thriller. The epic drama carries the reader across the state of Florida to discover details that most people have missed. Each discovery and revelation will have the reader wondering if they are reading fact or fiction. In a quickening pace, the characters find themselves on a collision course with an unthinkable outcome! Fans of Walt Disney will love the history and tourists will find a travel guide that takes them on a trip most guests never get to take.

About the Book: (From the website)

Grayson Hawkes learns how imaginative and elaborate Walt Disney World is when he accepts an invitation one sunny day from a trusted friend landing him in a world he never knew existed. Barely escaping a late night encounter, he finds himself desperately trying to solve a mysterious disappearance while trying to stay ahead of those who are chasing him. He navigates through the kingdom where knowledge of seemingly unimportant Disney facts and some divine help are the only way he can discover the lock that can only be opened by an ancient key. His world becomes even more complicated when he is captivated by mysterious woman, causing him to make a series of choices that takes his faith to the brink. Within the walls of Walt Disney World is more mystery than one imagination can contain. Here Disney Trivia is not a game; and the ancient key is the only way out!

My review:

We are avid Disney fans, who visit often, I enjoyed following the search in the book, knowing exactly where they were in the parks (this really made me want to go back!)  As I tried to unravel the clues and solve the mystery! Other than the fact that the main character  is a pastor, there is little spiritual content. The story is suitable for most ages and contains no graphic violence or offensive language.  I love that Disney trivia was woven thought the book, even as a seasoned Disney veteran, I learned a few cool tidbits.

You do not have to be a Disney fan to enjoy A Key to the Kingdom book, if you are a fan of mysteries this is a great book for you. You will follow "Hawk"  as he tries not to be found by people chasing him,  meets a mysterious woman, find out who it a friend or foe…and must solve a puzzle at the same time! You will get sucked in, and won't want to put it down.

MeltonYourHeart Boutique Review (And a Giveaway)

From the website:

Karen Melton is a third generation seamstress with a passion for wonderful fabric and functional designs. I create all my clothing using only quality materials, threads, and trims. I have several favorite fabric designers and love to experiment with different colors and patterns to create unique pieces that children love to wear.

She has so many lovely items in her shop, here are some of my favorites:

I was lucky enough to be able to review a crayon wallet,

My review:

One of the issues we all deal with is keeping our kids occupied, from in the house to in a car to in an airplane. They can only sit quiet for so long without being occupied, and then when they want something to do what can we give them? A Nintendo DS is good but sometimes I don't want my daughter staring into that screen for too long plus it runs on batteries which die and an outlet isn't something we can always find or have access to. That's where The Crayon Wallet from Melton Your Heart (http://www.etsy.com/shop/MeltonYourHeart,) comes in! It's light, it's portable and it kept my daughter occupied for quite sometime even when for DS was mere inches away!
My daughter loves art, she loves coloring and creating things and The Crayon Wallet is the perfect thing for her to have her creative outlet when we're not at home. It's a fabric wallet that holds a standard 3x5 pad and 8 crayons, is small enough to fit in any bag, and they come in a variety of styles for both boys and girls. With all the fees we have to pay on most airlines these days, it has gotten to the point where we all want to travel light, well this is light and small and is easy to transport and is the perfect time consuming object to bring with you on a plane or car ride. For $10.00 you can't go wrong, when your kid is going nuts because of boredom and you're going nuts listening to them you'll be able to reach into your bag pull out the Crayon Wallet and watch them forget about being bored.

Lore's Chocolate Birthday Parties Review

On Saturday the 26th we had the opportunity to visit Lore's Chocolates at 34th S. 7th St., Philadelphia PA 19106 (www.loreschocolates.com,) for a sample of what their Chocolate Birthday Party is all about. We arrived a few minutes early and walked around their shop and were entranced with the smell of chocolate permeating through the air, what a wonderful smelling shop! They sold just about everything you could need for Easter, from eggs to bunnies to a chocolate football that looked life size they had it all.
After a few minutes of looking around it was time to make our way downstairs to where the party was being held, it is in the lower level of the building which used to be their main chocolate factory but is now where they host birthday parties.
We walked into the lower level and saw all the equipment to make chocolate magical, it was really neat to get up close to see how those candy creations come to life. On the conveyor belt hung little aprons for the kids to wear to keep from getting messy (it helped for the most part but my daughter still managed to get a little messy:-)!) She was now on her way to being a junior chocolatetier, she learned where the chocolate comes from and how it's processed and how the difference between dark and milk chocolate. After her little chocolate lesson she was off to make some chocolate! We went over to the conveyor belt/cooler and she was able to make chocolate covered pretzels, animal crackers and marshmallows. It was the cutest thing seeing her lining up all the goodies and watching them get coated in milk chocolate, she made sure to keep everything lined up nice and orderly. It's cool to see the conveyor belt in action, at one end it coats whatever you put on it like a pretzel, from the coating process it makes it's way down to the cooling process where it comes out as a ready to eat chocolate covered pretzel! In a matter of a couple of minutes she had a box filled with chocolate covered goodies!

From there she went over and learned how to make a non peril by hand! We thought it was going to be a nightmare, but we were pleasantly surprised to see our daughter is a bit of a natural when it comes to making these delicious little candies! She went on to see how chocolate lollipops were made and was able to make 3 chocolate flower lollipops out of milk and dark chocolate. She was told the secret on how to get the chocolate to turn into the lollipop but won't tell it to us because it's a chocolatetier's secret! Now I'll never know:-)! All the chocolate she made she was able to keep and we've been enjoying it ever since!
This party was held to show us what their birthday parties are like and I have to say I was totally impressed. This is a family run company, who have been doing this for 35 years and you deal directly with the owners who were fantastic at dealing with kids of all ages. We're always trying to come up with something different to do for our daughter's birthday, big party centers are nice but they can be a bit chaotic, Build a Bear is the same plus you have to deal with regular mall traffic. The Lore's Chocolate Birthday Party is a wonderful idea! The cost of a party is $250.00 and it's for children 6-12, the length of the party is 1 1/2 hours and are held on Saturdays 11:00-12:30, 1:00-2:30,  3:00-4:30 and weekday afternoons during the summer. They allow up to 10 children per party and invitations and paper goods are provided. You have to provide your own cake and drinks, it's suggested to keep things simple to allow the kids to focus on the chocolate making process which makes sense, the kids will be so busy making chocolate that they won't have a chance to be bored, there is constant entertainment and activities going on. If you're looking for something different, something special and not the norm the Lore's Chocolate Birthday Party is the way to go!

Pink Princess Review and Giveaway

About the company from the website:

"Our company has been in the children’s clothing business for over three decades, spanning the entire spectrum of kids’ apparel, from casual play wear to black tie formal wear. In the early nineties, in response to very high customer demand for formal wear, we shifted our focus to the special occasions market. A decade later, we are now an industry leader in both girl dresses and boy’s formal wear, with flower girl and pageant dresses amongst our biggest sellers. Naturally, with the establishment of Web commerce, we took our business online, where we now share our beautiful little girl dresses and little boy suits with the entire world."
Many customers have asked how we are able to keep our prices so low, in fact, much lower than those of other children’s formal wear retailers on the Web or otherwise. We’ll let you in on a little secret: Our buyers negotiate factory direct pricing by volume buying. Our marketers maintain only an internet website for sales. Lower costs and minimal overhead translate into savings for the company, and we are happy pass these savings onto our customers.

 My Review:

One of the pleasures of being a mommy to a little girl is dressing her up like a little princess, which is exactly what I was able to do when I received a dress from Pink Princess . It's normally a struggle to get my daughter to do anything I want her to do, so when I showed her the dress and told her that it was her's and that she had to model it for me it was a painless process getting her clothes off and getting this dress on her.

It took all of about a second before she started posing and twirling. Thankfully we have a sport feature on our camera because I had a hard time to get her to not to twirl! This dress really made her day, it really was a little princess dress in her mind. From the sash to the rosebud to the tool under the dress she was in her glory! She loves this dress and the color red, and is excited to show her new dress off Easter Sunday and we can't wait until we see her grandparents gush over their little princess! Through this whole process she was really smiling, and to get her to smile is a chore unto itself!  It's a one stop shop for both boys and girls, you need a formal outfit the Pink Princess will have it, don't let the name fool you it's not just for your little girls!

My review:
Most cards today are lewd, cheap and unimaginative these are all things that can't be applied to the cards I received from Pieper's Timeless Memories.

I was able to review some of her  handmade cards, they are on high quality paper, nicely put together and they are very nice to look at, I am sure when I send the birthday cards to the lucky recipient of this lovely card , they will just love it.

If you want something unique, and you want to make sure this will not be a card the recipient has gotten already (Yes this has happened to me before, more than once, I hate when I give a card to someone and they got the same card form someone else) try handmade cards they are unique, and different.

He could have spent his 64th birthday with anyone but he chose us!

We had the pleasure of seeing Reginald Dwight or Elton John for those who don't know his real name Friday night at the Core States, First Union, Wachovia, Wells Fargo Center. Seriously, the place has been around for about 16 years and has had 4 names in that time, just like the Olympics every four years the insert name here center gets a new name. Anywho.....back to Sir Elton. We had second row center seats, we were lined up perfectly with his piano, he was only 15 feet or so away from us, it was really cool sitting that close to someone who's that famous! The first thing is I was blown away by how good he is live, phenomenal singer and piano player, simply amazing. His show lasted for a little over 3 hours and he did a mix of his hits with songs from his current album with Leon Russell, the hits part was great, the Leon Russell part was well no offense to Mr. Russell or his fans, painfully boring. He left out some of his hits to instead sing newer songs and that meant he didn't sing "I'm Still Standing" which is my husband's favorite song of his and he didn't  sing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" or "The Circle of Life!" And as Disney fans we weren't happy with those omissions.
That being said we still enjoyed the show, he's a fantastic performer and to our shock towards the end of the concert he called people up to the front of the stage and started signing autographs with his own Sharpie! We didn't expect that to happen and I got to the stage a tad late and just missed out on getting my ticket signed. Ah well... On top of it all it was Elton's 64th birthday, the crowd started singing happy birthday, so he began playing on the piano without the band being in on it "When I'm 64" by the Beatles and in a second the band joined him and you could see them laughing at that and having a good time with it, it was a funny moment. And if all things go well were hoping that in a week or so we'll regain our hearing again. Our ears were buzzing something wicked, next time we're that close to the stage for any concert we will be bringing earplugs! WHATCHA SAY?! Has now become part of our everyday vernacular.

Addi-Rose bows Review (And a giveaway)

The Addi-Rose shop on Etsy is a shop filled with wonderfully colored bows and head bands for all occasions.

Here are some of my favorites!:

I was lucky enough to be able to review this lovely mickey bow:

My review:

One of the greatest pleasures of having a daughter is getting to play with her hair. That is when it's not full of knots and food and other assorted things that sometimes live in her hair. I received a Minnie bow from Addi-Rose Bows (http://www.etsy.com/shop/addirosebows) and within seconds of showing it to my daughter I was combing the knots out of her hair and giving her a do. What a pretty bow, it had all the right colors to meet my daughters approval pink, purple and blue and contained a button with the silhouette of Minnie, the perfect bow for a little Disney fan and it will be making the trek with us out west when we visit Disneyland in June.
One of the things I was most impressed with was the bow has a strong clip, most bows I've bought my daughter have cheap clips that can't hold doll's hair let alone the hair of an active six year old. Right now in Addi-Roses etsy shop you have over 100 different bows and headbands to choose from! Your choices range from solid colors to college teams to a bow with a chocolate bunny on it! My personal favorite besides our Minnie is the Cookie Monster bow, very creative! Prices range from $3.00 to $10.00, very affordable prices for very nice and creative bows and headbands.
