The Chipmunks, Chipettes and their caretaker Dave Sevelle (Jason Lee; “My Name is Earl”) embark on a trip of a lifetime aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship. Seeking fun and excitement, the Chipmunks turn the luxury cruise liner into their own personal playground. But the ultimate vacation quickly becomes a disaster when the Chipmunks, Dave and Carnival cruise pelican mascot, who turns out to be the chipmunks’ old manager, Ian Hawke (David Cross; Megamind), accidentally fall overboard and find themselves ‘Chipwrecked’ on a remote island. Stuck in an unfamiliar territory, the six furry castaways are separated from Dave and must figure out a way to survive on their own for the first time in their lives.

Our Take:
I just loved the chipmunks when I was a little kid, it was a show that I just had to watch. They were so funny, and I loved to watch them get into all sorts of trouble. When I was young they had some toys with the chipmunks, but it was not like today… This cute little guys (and gals) are everywhere, from movies to video games
I am so happy that they are popular again, and my daughter can enjoy the fun trio. But things have changed since I was little, now I see that they have added girls chipmunks! (see I am showing my age!) I love the addition of the cute girls, and my daughter of course loves them, she is a huge fan of Brittney! I recently spent some mommy – daughter time with my little girl, we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked together, and I have to say we had a good time watching this cute movie.
My daughter loved when the Chipetts had the dance competition, it was too cute when they were dancing to Lady Gaga. They looked so cute in those little dresses, very stylish chipmunks if you ask me!
The sing along music videos were a cute extra, you have not lived until you have heard the chipmunks version of these popular songs! I think it is still as funny as I found it as a kid. So if you are looking for a great movie for the whole family, or an awesome Easter basket filler, make sure to pick this movie up.
