New England Country Soup - Review

Are you a fan of delicious soup? To us it is a great meal, just time to relax and eat tighter as a family enjoying a nice warm bowl of soup. I would love to introduce you all to the New England Country Soup company, here is a little info about the company from the website:

New England Country Soup was founded by three "foodies" frustrated with the traditional soup products on store shelves... they were neither as delicious nor as nutritious as homemade, and neither as convenient nor as environmentally responsible as they could be (not to mention very high in sodium!).
We had a simple objective: make great tasting, good for you, shelf-stable soups with the same, all natural ingredients we use in our kitchen. And we wanted our soups to be easy to use and friendly to the environment.
Great Ingredients. Great Taste. Good for you.
Out of frustration, came inspiration! We scoured our family recipes for some classic soup flavors, located a terrific group of all natural ingredient suppliers from around the world, identified some "better for you" ingredients, and added state-of-the-art, BPA-free packaging.

The delicious soups come in the following flavors:

  1. New England Clam Chowder
  2. Yankee White Bean with chicken
  3. Chicken Corn Chowder
  4. Chicken Pomodoro
  5.  Nana’s Chicken Soup
  6. Caribbean Black Bean
  7.  Lentil
  8. Sweet Chicken Curry

I was very fortunate to be able to try two of the flavors: Nana’s Chicken Soup and Yankee White Bean with chicken

My Review:

My family and I are huge fans of soup, I love to add it to meals or eat it as a meal itself. It is so very cold here in the northeast (yes it is April, but where is the warmer April weather?) and I just love to warm up with a nice bowl of soup. I usually just go with the canned coup that you add water to. It is ok, just soup. I had the opportunity to review 2 pouches (yes pouches!) of soup from the New England Country Soup company. Would this be better than the usual canned soup I was used to? Well I have to say 100% yes yes yes! It is amazing how much better, fresher and more homemade tasting the soup from New England Country Soup is. It is just amazing.  First we tried Nana’s Chicken Soup, it was filled with chicken and veggies. It had a great fresh taste, my daughter did not even want to try it, when she heard that there were beans in the soup.. (she is all of a sudden not a fan of beans) I told her she would love it just try a little… well she ate it all and asked for more!

My husband and I loved the Yankee White Bean with chicken, it had just the right amount of peppers and had a good flavor. I have to say I am impressed with the New England Country Soup company, now that I have had this delicious flavorful soup I will not be going back to the bland cans I used to eat… No way!

Here is an example of the ingredients for the Yankee White Bean Chili

Water, Onions, Yankee Beans, Cannellini Beans, Great Northern Beans, Cooked White Chicken Meat, Chicken Stock, Cheddar Cheese (Milk, Cheese Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Roasted Red Peppers, Roasted Jalapeno Peppers, Rice Starch, Cream (From Milk), Garlic, Lower Sodium Sea Salt, Soy Lecithin, Cumin, Cayenne Pepper

Just basic ingredients that I would use if I made the soup myself.  But with New England Country Soup I can have the homemade fast, it is just heat and eat.

New England Country Soup believes that you have a right to know not only what is in your soup, but also where it comes from. They have an ingredient tracker on the packages, so you will know where your soup comes from! Now that is something I have never thought of, but it is a great thing!

Make sure to check out the website, they have coupons available to print. http://www.newenglandcountrysoup.com I was able to print out a $1.00 coupon for my local Shop Rite, I cannot wait to purchase this soup again. I am looking forward to trying the Sweet Chicken Curry, I just love the spiciness of curry, and my husband really wants to try the New England Clam Chowder, even since out trip to Boston, he just loves clam chowder now. And I am sure New England Country Soup’s chowder will be divine!

So make sure to pick up this delicious soup at a store near you, you will not be disappointed.
