Disney World Star Wars Weekends 2012 part 2 (Epcot)

We made it to EPCOT for rope drop and just took our time just soaking up the atmosphere, with going frequently I'm not worried about riding rides, I'm just happy being there and taking in the sites. We went on Spaceship Earth a ride my daughter hated until this trip she enjoyed it this time and liked the smell of Rome burning (who doesn't like that smell?) We had fun playing with the touch screen and picking out our retirement future. The funniest part was seeing how they cropped our heads to fit into the screen--my ears were gone and all you could see of our daughter was the top of her Tinkerbell hat! After that we headed over to Soarin' to see how bad the wait was and it was only 20 minutes so we got in line and we're seated on the ride in less than 20 minutes!

My wife is still wondering why they couldn't do a better job of covering or hiding the other riders feet, nothing like seeing dangling feet! The Soarin' film does need a touch up it's looking bad and showing its age, and I often wonder why not trade it out with another place like Soarin' over Delaware? Home of tax free flying. After Soarin' we grabbed some snacks at Sunshine Seasons nothing big because we had lunch at Le'Cellier planned and just wanted to curb our appetite's. We did a little shopping and went to Club Cool for some drinks and to watch the poor newbs drink Beverly for the first time. That is a Disney rite of passage that everyone needs to do just to know what it tastes like, words can't describe how utterly bad that soda is! From Club Cool we walked through rather my wife and daughter walked through the butterfly exhibit for the Flower and Garden festival,

I'm petrified of butterflies always have been and always will be they creep me out. We looked at all the fairy topiary's and the little houses they made it's amazing what you can make out of plants. And add to it that when we were on the Backstage Magic tour in 2010 the Piglet topiary that we saw in the UK pavilion was just in its infancy, it was neat to be able to snap a picture of it when it was wires with a little green and snap a pic in all of its glory. Lunch at Le'Cellier was next and we had the pleasure of being serenaded by the staff to their rendition of O'Canada this time it was all English last year they tossed in a little French and the lets play hockey at the end is a fun touch. The first time we had ever gone to Le'Cellier was in 1999 on our first trip and I had a burger the next 12 times we have eaten here I had the New York strip I bucked my trend and went with the burger and I was so happy I made that choice I really enjoyed my burger the flavor of the bbq sauce was amazing the bacon was crisp and it was a real burger and not a traditional Disney burger, my wife had the wild mushroom filet and our daughter had pizza and we all enjoyed the cheddar cheese soup which is in my top 2 favorite soups ever! I know a lot of people think Le'Cellier is overrated, we don't, we like it there and it has the distinction of being the only restaurant we have eaten at on everyone of our trips and it will remain that way.
