Popcorners, a great snack Review (And a Giveaway)

Snacks, we all love them but I don’t love the extra calories. Is there a snack that tastes great and is better for me? Well that answer is yes! I would like to introduce you all to Popcorners, a great new snack (well new to me) that you will love, here is a little more information about the company from the website:

Time to change the popcorn! PopCorners is the world's first popcorn chip, available in six delicious flavors. As a healthy and gluten-free snack, we want to honorably carry on the traditional goodness of snacking on popcorn - but with a twist!

Anyway, we have just one question; who is it that said satisfying your craving for popcorn can only happen by eating handfuls of white fluffy things full of hulls that end up in your teeth and unpopped kernels and crumbs that end up everywhere else?

We must have missed that memo—which is good, because otherwise we never would’ve created PopCorners—the first ever popcorn chip. Fact is, PopCorners deliver pure popcorn pleasure minus all the annoying stuff (not to mention fat, chemicals and calories). So if you’re ready for a “popcorn experience” that’s only about the great light popped taste and satisfying crunch (and not flossing your teeth and cleaning crumbs off yourself), welcome to PopCorners—the new shape of popcorn …and, as your visit will confirm, the shape you want to be in.

I was very fortunate to be able to try each of the great Popcorners flavors:

My Review:

So who here does not like to snack? Not many huh. I know most of us love to snack, and I am always looking for healthier yummy ways to snack. Sure I could have a piece of fruit.. but sometimes I just want something salty or crunchy, and the apple is just not what I am craving. I don’t want to eat the chips that are really bad for me, but I want something with a crunch and great flavor. That is where Popcorners comes in, they are a great “chip” that is popcorn. What? I know it sounds kind of weird a popcorn chip? Yes. It is a great idea. Popcorners takes what you love about popcorn and chips and puts them together into a great snack. I love the taste of popcorn, the sweet and salty taste, and I love the crunch of chips. So Popcorners were right up my alley.

When the chips arrived, they came in this great sample box. I was able to try each of the sweet and savory flavors of popcorners.

White Cheddar – What a great cheesy taste, this is one tasty popcorn. I love the real cheese taste. Fake artificial tasting cheese, not here. This was my daughters favorite chip. Of course she loved them all (she is a big popcorn fan) but she especially loved the cheddar.

Butter – this reminded me of movie popcorn. Just much easier to eat, but just as buttery and delicious!

Kettle- Well this was one of my favorites. I just love the salty sweet taste of kettle corn. It reminfs me of visiting Lancaster and getting fresh kettle corn from one of the shops. It tastes authentic and has just the right amount of salt and sweet. The ultimate snack lover’s dream.

Cheesy Jalapeno- Now this was my husband’s favorite, he just loves spicy stuff. If it is spicy he will try it. He said this was not only spicy but had a good flavor and of course it had a nice kick of spice.

Sea Salt- now you may be thinking this would be overly salty. But no it had just the right amount of salt flavor, and I love that it was made with sea salt a better salt flavor (in my opinion) loved this. A small bag of popcorners sea salt is 140 calories for the entire bag. That is not bad, a great treat that will not through me off the diet. That is a great thing.

And the best part, you get the popcorn flavors and no kernels!!! I can’t tell you how many times I have nearly broken a tooth when I crunched on a kernel. And no worries, you won’t get any kernels in your teeth. That is a great thing!
Delicious taste, a great snack that my family loves. We will surely be picking up some more Popcorners in the future.  If you are looking for a lower calorie snack that is still full of flavor and crunch, make sure to pick up some Popcorners you will not be disappointed, and your family will love it too!

It's not flat popped corn. It's enriched yellow corn (meal). There is no popping.
