Our Take:

This movie really takes me back, I was seven years old and my mom told me we would be going to the movies. Going to the movies!? Wow, this was such a big thing for me our family did not have much money and this would be my first trip to the movies! So what would we be seeing? The big hit that was in the theaters at the time of course the movie E.T. I was just a little kid and I did not know much about E.T. But when I saw the alien on the bog screen, I just loved  him. I remember vividly how scared  I was when the authorities were decontaminating the house
I was so scared for them all, it was so real to me. I was so happy that I  could share this classic movie with my daughter, she did not have the privilege of seeing this classic yet.

So I got a bag of Reese's Pieces to enjoy with the movie. My daughter loves that candy but did not understand what this had to do with the movie.  We watched this movie together as a family and it was just as great as I remembered, and yes I still cried at the end, I am just a big baby... Turn on your heart light gets me ever time! I laughed I cried and my daughter laughed and was upset about how it ended and feared for E.T. just as I had done when I was her age.

This is a great movie that stands the test of time, and I loved the extras as well, it was great seeing the original trailer and the Olympics spots. I would highly recommend this new Blu-ray for fans of the movie, and for kids who may have never seen it, I am sure they will become big fans of the loveable E.T.

And yes now my daughter appreciates the greatness of the Reeses Peices  candy now :)
