Holiday Gift Guide Designs by Janessa a great place for personalized jewelry review (And a Giveaway)

Are you looking for a unique and personal gift like no other? How about a gift that has your child’s fingerprint a gift that the special someone who receives it will love forever? Well I have a great suggestion for you, Designs by Janessa here is a little more information about Janessa from the website:

Janessa , is a stay at home mom of a preschooler and needed a creative outlet; she decided to take a class in PMC. Her goal for the class was to create a charm with her son's name on it that she could proudly wear. Soon, Janessa discovered that other moms also wanted to wear a charm with their child's name on it and she began selling my charms at local craft fairs.

One day a woman approached her at one of the craft fairs and asked if Janessa could make a fingerprint charm of her 20 year old son. Janessa said, "why not?" so we arranged for her to take her son's print. After Janessa  made that first charm, I decided to test my process out on other children. Months later she had perfected my method to include the ability to mail kits to customers who were not local to me. She has since mailed kits all over the U.S. and to Canada and Australia! In May 2011, Janessa became a level 1 Certified Artisan.
All charms are created using recycled silver through a medium known as silver metal clay and are 99.9% fine silver. This metal should not cause any allergies because it does not contain copper or nickel. Once I receive your fingerprint impressions, it will take me 3-5 weeks to complete your order. 24K gold plated charms can be made as well for an additional $30 per piece (for most pieces). Larger pieces may cost more.

Children grow up so quickly and before you know it they’re 18 going off the college and you will  be wondering where the time went? When that time comes for them to leave why not have a little something special to remember them by? Designs by Janessa will take that little fingerprint and make it into a silver pendant, so even when they’re adults and have kids of their own you can still look at that charm and remember when.
They even can make prints from your dog’s nose, that is just an amazing thing for a dog lover. Pictures are wonderful and memories are great but I also like the idea of having something permanent that will stand the test of time and this pendant does just that. The process of getting the fingerprint is rather easy, open the mix the dough as directed  and then press your child’s hopefully clean finger into it, pack it up send it off and soon after that little fingerprint will forever be encapsulated in silver.
The cost of the pendants start at $50.00 what you get is your child’s fingerprint on one side and there are other options including birthstone and names may be added for an additional cost.. It’s a really lovely pendant, I love mine, and every time I look at it I’ll have that memory of the three of us around our kitchen table rolling out the dough for the print and my husband worrying he’ll screw it up. We had a fun time that night doing this, and I’ll be able to look back on that night every time I wear that pendant and remember when my little girl was still little.
If you are looking for a holiday person that that special someone will treasure forever I would recommend a pendant from Designs by Janessa.
