Disney World Beach Club Resort and bump up to club level?? #1

About a month ago my husband and I were able to get away for a long weekend to do the Food & Wine Festival, this trip began back in May when we were in the World for Star Wars Weekend. We were relaxing in the room and I noticed the bounce back offer in the room and asked my husband if he would be interested and his answer was "duh!" So we took Disney up on their discount and booked a room at the Beach Club from the 3rd to the 6th of October.

We stayed at the Yacht Club a couple of years ago and I love trying new hotels so this was a good chance to try something new that kind of had a familiar look since the Beach & Yacht Clubs are mirror resorts and add into the mix that you're within walking distance to the International Gateway and that made the Beach Club all that more of a great choice. This would be a mommy & daddy trip our daughter would be staying with my in-laws, with school starting a month prior and her being in a new school that wasn't easy to get into we didn't want to make any waves.

We had an early flight out of PHL we took off around 6:20 am, I know it's early but you really do get a whole day to tour the parks and we live literally 10 minutes from the airport so getting there isn't too much of a hassle. Our flight was good from what my husband told me I'm usually out of it because I'm not a good flyer, I do it because I have to but I don't like it! We got to Magical Express and were instantly put on a bus....NO WAIT!

My husband looked at me and said wow everything is coming up Milhouse (a Simpson's reference for you non fans) a half hour later we arrive at the Beach Club and are greeted at the bus (?) my husband looked at me with a twinkle in his eye, as we were being led into the hotel the CM talked to us about staying Club Level and that's when my husband pulled me aside and said we got bumped! He's read about people getting bumped but its never happened to us, heck we were down there 3 times in the Year of a Million Dreams and didn't get a single dream! Things were certainly looking up!

We were in the elevator and the CM told us the only way to access our floor was to scan our room key over the RF ID pad in the elevator, we were like kids on Christmas morning, this was really surreal. Are we really getting bumped? Is this really happening? Sure enough the elevator went to the 5th floor and there we were club level of the Beach Club. The check in process took seriously about a minute, the CM checking us in quickly realized she was dealing with veterans who didn't have any questions she handed us our Keys to the World (gold colored for club level) and off we went! I felt like a total snob with a gold key card, every time other CM's noticed the color they were like "oh!" Club level is really first class and nice, is it worth the up charge normally? Probably not, but if they're going to give it away to you free take it! The best thing was the ability to come back and have drinks and snacks at your disposal and they're gratis so we could save our snack credits for the Food & Wine Festival.

 More to come!!

Wowie! That sure is a nice hotel. Our family really wants to go to Disney Land and Disney World. I still can't believe we haven't yet. The Food & Wine Festival sounds fun too! :)

This sounds like a nice resort. I have been to 2 other Disney resorts and they were nice also. I like the extras like free bus transportation to the parks.

When I worked at WDW years ago, I never got tired of the 4 theme parks. And the dining is awesome, especially in EPCOT.
