My Little Pony Equestria Girls is a brand new full-length feature introducing a whole new dimension into the My Little Pony world. When a crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle pursues the thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage girl who must survive her biggest challenge yet…high school. With help from her new friends who remind her of Ponyville’s Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, she embarks upon a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of these two parallel worlds.
Darryl Schaffer, EVP of Exhibitor Relations, Screenvision said: “We’re excited to partner with Hasbro Studios and Shout Factory to bring the My Little Pony Equestria Girls feature to the big screen and provide youthful wonder to audiences nationwide.”
“My Little Pony is a phenomenally successful brand beloved all over the world” said Shout! Factory’s founders in a joint statement. “As we continue to expand our role in releasing pop culture favorites across all major entertainment platforms, we look forward to presenting this remarkable family movie with Hasbro Studios and Screenvision in theaters.”
