New Springtime flavors of Dunkin Donuts Coffee and a great Iced Coffee #Recipe

I received the new Dunkin’ Donuts flavors in a Party Kit to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. I’m participated in this campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dunkin’ Donuts. All opinions are my own. This past weekend I had a nice get together with some family and friends to celebrate spring, and enjoy some great coffee. Getting together with seven friends and family and their additional children, is not as easy as it may sound in a small inner city row home.

My house was packed full of people, it seemed to be wall to wall people (oh what I would give for a large house in the country!) but it was a great time had by all.  We were together to try out some great new coffee flavors that are great for the spring from Dunkin Donuts. And what is a party without some great tasty treats? Well not much of a party! We had lots of goodies to enjoy with our coffee, including some veggie munchies and cheese appetizers.
And for our entrée I made some of my famous lasagna. And of course we had to have some donuts from Dunkin Donuts to enjoy with our coffee.  My family are big coffee fans, we love it hot and we love it iced.

 The new flavors are:

Coconut- Sometimes you feel like fresh coconut coffee flavor. And sometimes, you really feel like it.
Triple Berry - You know what they say, "Three berries are better than one." That's a saying, right?
Strawberry Shortcake- Just one sip of our strawberry-flavored coffee and you'll agree: Dessert should come first.
The flavors were so different and really stood out.  I made a pot of each to order so my guests could enjoy the new flavors as they choose, most went for a hot cup (the weather her in the northeast is still pretty chilly… Isn’t this supposed to be spring?) and others enjoyed the iced variety.  The coconut was such a great flavored coffee, you may not think coconut would mix well with coffee but it does!

The flavor was a bit tropical, it was if I could smell and taste the coffee then close my eyes and I was back relaxing with a coconut drink on the beach. You really have to try this coconut coffee flavor it is wonderful!

The other flavors also were very popular, the Strawberry Shortcake gave you the dessert flavor in your coffee. I could taste, the strawberry and the vanilla (the pound cake flavoring) it was like having a piece of cake and a cup of coffee at the same time. The smell was mouthwatering, it smelled (to me) like a warm strawberry shortcake, delicious! And last but certainly not least the Triple berry coffee. This was a great spring flavor, that reminded me of picking berries when I was a kid with my mom.  The Triple berry was the most popular as an iced version, when it was iced it fit better with the flavor, according to my guests.

My father is an anti-flavor coffee drinker, he is used to his black bitter coffee. I knew it would be a struggle to get him to try these great sounding new flavors… but eventually he came around. With the smell filtering the house, he just had to try a taste of each flavor. He really liked the coconut one, this is a big thing for a non-flavor coffee drinker.  Overall we enjoyed trying these new spring flavors, some may seem a little different but they were so very good.  These are such a break from the ordinary, a great way to say hello to spring.  Here is a great iced coffee recipe to get you into the spring mood:

Dunkin' Donuts Iced Coffee Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 Cup of your Favorite ground Dunkin' Donuts Coffee

3 Cups of Cold Water, Divided

1/3 Cup of Sugar

1/2 Cup of Half-and-half

Whipped Cream (optional)

Instructions

Brew coffee in a coffee maker, use 3/4 ground coffee and 1 and 1/2 cups of the water. Combine hot crewed coffee, sugar and half and half in a pitcher. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Then, blend in the remaining cold water. Pour over ice and serve. Top with whipped cream if you wish.

Each of my guests took home a little goody bag from Dunkin Donuts, that included a reusable bag a pound of coffee, a great tumbler for their iced coffee at home, and some Dunkin Donuts coupons.  We all had a great time, some time to talk and just have fun in each other’s company.

If you are looking for a break from your normal coffee routine, the new spring flavors from Dunkin Donuts are amazing. They are unique and very flavorful. The new flavors are offered in pound containers that sell for $7.99. Make sure to pick some up soon, these new flavors will only be around for a limited time.  With mother’s day coming up this weekend, why not pick up a pound or two to bring to your mother’s day event, or a dinner a friends, I am sure they will love the new flavors too.

What new flavor would you love to try?

I'm having my party this weekend. The only flavor I haven't tried yet is the Mixed Berry. Love the Strawberry Shortcake, and I never thought I'd like a fruit-flavored coffee! Looks like you had a fun party!

I'm a huge fan of Dunkin Donuts coffee, and I always grab a few bags of the Strawberry Shortcake when I see it on sale at my grocery store. LOL I am always afraid they will stop selling it!

Never in a million years would I have thought to turn coffee fruity. Leave it to DD to figure that out and make it tasty!
