Our take:

Growing up in the 80’s  Strawberry Shortcake was a big part of my life, I had the dolls, the lunch box and the sheets (and yes I still have them all, my daughter even uses the sheets). Perhaps she may want to use my lunch kit too one day? I am sure as soon as she sees it she will love it! I was so excited when I had the chance to review the new Strawberry Shortcake Dvd’s Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Mysteries I know I am just a kid at heart, I just love to share something I loved when I was a child with my daughter. When my daughter saw the dvd’s she was so excited too! She loves Strawberry Shortcake as much as I did when I was little, it is cool having a little me.

The show was a lot different than I remember with a bunch of new friends in the show. My daughter kept asking me if they had this or that character when I was little.  Yes some of the old friends I remember were gone, but there were so many new “dessert” friends now. My daughter loved this the most, she especially loved the Berrykins, they were adorable, I have to admit.
Berry Bitty Mysteries road is 66 minutes so they are long enough to keep the kids interest, and they will not get bored. My daughter loved the extras as well, we printed out the coloring pages, and she had fun with that.

After my daughter watched the DVD, she could not wait to watch it again. I told her she could tomorrow… now we are off to play with my Strawberry Shortcake original doll, for a bit. And yes she still smells like strawberries after nearly 30 years!I would recommend this film for any young  girl in your life, and if you were a child in the 80’s you will appreciate the films too.
