Hersheypark Place a great place to eat a fun dining experience! #Travel

Are you looking for a great place to eat with the family? A place that has great food that the whole family will love? Well Hersheypark Place is the place for you. It is a fun filled dining experience! Here is a little more information about this great restaurant from the website:

Hersheypark Place- Tudor Square There's no need to leave Hersheypark to enjoy a full-service meal in an air-conditioned restaurant! This newly-themed restaurant, located at the entrance to Hersheypark, provides a delightfully themed atmosphere including Carrousels, Coasters and Characters! Enjoy delicious appetizers, freshly prepared wraps and salads, signature PA Dutch items, mouth-watering burgers, and chocolate desserts in a casual family setting. Full Service Air-Conditioned Restaurant

My family and I were very fortunate to be able to check out Hershey Christmas Candy Lane a great holiday must. From the live reindeer to the beautiful lights that fill the park, you will love this yearly event. While we were there we check out a new (well new to us) Hershey park restaurant.  Hershey Park Place, this is nestled right before the entrance to Hershey Park (so no you do not have to go to the park to be able to enjoy this restaurant) a fun restaurant filled with delicious food and of course Hershey chocolate!

Before we got to the restaurant of course we had to measure my daughter, she is now a Hershey bar, she is growing up so fast! When she went to Hershey the first time she was a Miniature, now she is such a big girl!

While entering the restaurant you are greeted with a lovely array of Christmas decorations. And of course your favorite Hershey candy characters adorned the walls, and reminded you that  you are in Chocolate Town! Even the lights in the restaurant are "chocolaty" they are shaped like Hershey Kisses!

The menus were filled with delicious items that we could not wait to try.. But what to order that was the hard part. I would just order chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate if I could... But real food was in order, we had a long day ahead of us to enjoy!
There are some great sounding new holiday menu items that are available for a limited time. Bourbon Bread pudding anyone?

While we searched the menu for what my husband and I wanted to order. My daughter checked out the Hershey game cards that were on the table. They kept her occupied and were a fun way to pass the time while we waited for our food to arrive.
Of course we had to order the Hersheypark Place special Cheesy bacon chips!

Cheesy Bacon Chips- 8.95
A house favorite! Freshly fried seasoned potato chips, topped with Monterey jack, Cheddar cheese, and smoked bacon served with ranch dressing and sour cream
These chips were a large size, a great amount of chips for the family to share. The chips were homemade and fresh. I loved the addition of the green onions on top of the cheese it gave the chips a nice flavor.
My daughter knew what she wanted to eat as soon as she saw the menu...
Hersheypark Pizza- Personal pizza just for kids and fun to eat, your choice
of cheese or pepperoni.

Being a kid of course she would gravitate towards the pizza. She loved the cheesy goodness, this pie was a nice size and my daughter gobbled it up and ate just about the whole pie. You also get your choice of side, and my daughter went with the fries, and she enjoyed them as well.

My husband loves spicy foods, so if it has a kick he has to order it. He went with the Steakhouse Burger because of the spicy aspect. He loved the pepper jack cheese and the fire roasted jalapeno. He said this had just the right kick, but was not overly spicy it was delicious.

Steakhouse Burger -13.95 100% Black Angus beef burger, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, and steak sauce garnished with a fire-grilled jalapeƱo
Now we are on to my favorite dish of the day, my order, a Chocolate BBQ burger, you read that right it has CHOCOLATE bar-b-q sauce on the burger. Only in Hershey could you get such a unique bbq sauce. What would this taste like? Well I could not wait to find out.

Chocolate BBQ Burger - 13.95 100% Black Angus beef burger, Hershey’s
Chocolate BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, and Cheddar cheese garnished with an onion ring
This was sweet and rich, not super sweet but just the right tang and sweetness. I enjoyed  this burger very much. I would definitely recommended stepping outside of the box and trying this burger. For some this may seem odd... but you are in chocolate town USA try it, you just may like it.

What dinner is complete without dessert? Well we are in Hershey PA of course we are going to order some chocolaty desserts! Mmmm.....

First up, I am a huge Reese's fan. For me there is nothing better than the mixture of rich peanut butter and sweet chocolate, so my obvious choice was the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Sundae (I has to agonize over if I was going to get the Reese’s Sundae or the  Reese’s pie.. I know life is hard right? :)

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Sundae - 5.95 Hand-scooped vanilla ice cream smothered with peanut butter topping, Hershey’s hot fudge, and Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups

The sundae was divine, it was filled to the brim with peanut goodness, and chocolate fudge  was thick and warm... Doesn't this look amazing? Well it was!
My husband is a cinnamon fan, and when he saw the Sweet Pretzel Sticks on the  menu, he knew this was the dessert for him.

Sweet Pretzel Sticks - 7.50 Four cinnamon sugar soft pretzel sticks served with warm apple pie filling, Hershey’s hot fudge, and traditional vanilla icing
The pretzels were HUGE! We could have all shared this sweet dessert. The dips were, apple caramel and vanilla. The vanilla was my husbands favorite the pretzels reminded me of the pretzels we would get fresh in Lancaster. Covered with cinnamon and sugar.
I loved the idea of a make your own sundae, and my daughter did too.

Kids Make-Your-Own Sundae 4.25 Two scoops of your favorite ice cream: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cookies-n-cream, or mint chocolate chip with whipped cream and a cherry and your choice of three toppings:
Reese’s Pieces, ®, mini Hershey’s chips, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups bites,Kit Kat bites, hot fudge, chocolate syrup, peanuts, or rainbow sprinkles.

The sundae had everything you had to make it great. My daughter had a great time adding  Reese’s crumbles and Reese’s pieces  she created her masterpiece! Then she enjoyed her sundae.

At the end of the meal we all were treated to a handful of Hershey Kisses, a great way to end the meal.

If you are in the Hershey area I would highly recommend checking out Hersheypark Place, it is a fun family place to eat with a great atmosphere and yummy food. If you are looking for a great gift idea.. How about some Chocolate cash for those Hershey Park lovers on your holiday gift list this year?
