Our Take:
I've learned over the past year or so that I really can't live without my Ninja slow cooker, we use it constantly. So when I had the opportunity to try the Ninja Ultima blender I was more than happy to give it a whirl......no pun intended.

Blenders are so much more than they used to be, when I was kid the blender was something we used infrequently and was just there taking up space. I've used the Ninja Ultima blender more times this past week than I've used my old blender in the ten or so years we've had it. I didn't realize what having a blender with a muscle cars engine in it (my husband’s words) would do for me cooking and preparing meals.

What does the Ninja Ultima blender have over the others? A 2.5 horsepower motor, dual stage blending, so many speeds it will make your head spin, and the power to crush a car....alright maybe not a car but when you want to crush ice it won't stand a chance against the Ninja Ultima. The dual stage blending is really cool, what it allows you to do is put in whole fruits and vegetables into the blender and will crush them up with ease while the bottom blades will liquefy them. This blender is more amazing than its five hundred dollar plus counterparts and it's half the cost!

I could not wait to use this blender, so I decided on making a great looking appetizer, that I saw on the Ninja site, be sure to check out this great site for some wonderful recipes.

Sweet Red Pepper Spread
PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES,
6-8 SERVINGS

Ingredients

1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans, drained,
1 4-ounce jar roasted red peppers, drained, reserving 1 tablespoon to thin, if desired,
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar,
1/2 teaspoon Hungarian paprika,
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil,
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt,
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions

    1. Using the Bottom Blades in the Pitcher, add all of the ingredients in the order listed.
    2. Select Speed 3 and flip the switch to START. Slowly increase to Speed 8 and process until smooth.
    3. Scrape down the sides of the Pitcher as needed.
    4. Serve the spread with toasted crostini or cracker rounds.

Roasted red peppers meld deliciously with balsamic vinegar and mild garbanzo beans.
This dip was amazing, it was smooth and creamy flavorful and best of all easy to make. I will surely be using my Ninja blender regularly, it is a must have and a great addition to my kitchen. If you're looking for a superior blender, something that you can do anything with from soup (literally hot soup) to hummus and shakes (healthy and not so healthy versions) then the Ninja Ultima blender is the blender for you.
This even comes with some handy travel Serve Cups with Sip & Seal lids for personalized drinks on the go, an easy way to take your healthy drinks on the run. Why break the bank on other high profile blenders when you can put that money to good use and have an equally superior blender without the hefty price.
Buy it:

The Ninja® UltimaBlender is available on the Ninja site for $259.99 FREE SHIPPING!  This great blender is also available in stores.

Thanks for the great review. I was wondering how the Ninja Ultima Blender compared to others. I am so sick of blenders that can't even make a malt without getting stuck. That's the kind of luck I have had with blenders. This one sounds so nice and I really would love to get one. I definitely want to try the Sweet Red Pepper Spread. It looks so yummy.

I have been looking at the Ninja for my mother who makes smoothies every morning for breakfast and her Oster of 30 years freezes up on her all of the time. She won't break down and buy herself a new blender so I will be doing it for her. Thank you for the review.

I've heard so much about these blenders, thanks for the review that give me the confidence to purchase. I think it's silly to buy cheap blender if you can just invest in one good one and it last and last and last. I have a cheap blender, so we want to make sure we get one to keep.

I could use a blender like that. At times I find I need more power. Thank you for sharing the recipe also!

We recently got a Ninja blender and we really like it. So far we have only used it for smoothies and frozen drinks and it has worked really well.
