Antojitos Grand Opening and Mardi Gras Opening Weekend at Universal Orlando Resort #Travel

 Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, officially opens tonight – becoming the second eatery to debut as part of this year’s historic expansion to Universal’s entertainment complex.  Featuring colorful décor, fresh, authentic cuisine, more than 200 different tequilas, and authentic Mexican folk art, Antojitos takes diners on a journey through the cantinas, street carts and markets of Mexico City for craveable Mexican fare that is unlike any other.

Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food is located in the heart of Universal CityWalk, right next to the groove nightclub.  Visitors to the vibrant, two-story restaurant can enjoy two unique dining experiences, both featuring a delicious menu that combines authentic, traditional Mexican fare with all-new flavors – all made from scratch using the freshest ingredients.



  Universal's  Mardi Gras 2014 celebration, which includes an extended concert series with some of today’s hottest musical artists.  I am a huge fan of New Orleans and Mardi Gras, and I would love to check out Universals version of Mardi Gras, I have heard such great things from friends about this yearly event. here are some of my pictures from New Orleans, I wonder how it will be at Universal, I hope I can plan to find out.

Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration begins this Saturday, Feb. 8, at Universal Studios Florida – combining unmatched theme park entertainment with delectable Cajun cuisine, authentic New Orleans bands, an awe-inspiring parade and live concerts by some of today’s hottest artists.
                                   
This Saturday, Grammy award-winning rock band Daughtry will kick off the celebration with a live performance on the Music Plaza stage. With popular hits like “Home,” “It’s Not Over” and “No Surprise,” Daughtry has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. The band’s lead singer, Chris Daughtry, was discovered on season 5 of the hit show, American Idol.
                                                                                                                                                                                
Before the concert, guests can catch colorful beads by the handful during the festive Mardi Gras parade, which will feature 12 vibrant floats, including three new additions celebrating Jules Verne’s novel, “Around the World in Eighty Days.” Guests can also visit Universal Studios Florida’s very own French Quarter Courtyard to enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine and see performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street. The excitement of Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration is included
