Captain America: The Winter Soldier set visit, behind-the-scenes images #CaptainAmerica

***Disclosure: I attended The #IronMan3Event . My flight, lodgings, and expenses were covered by Disney . Pictures provided by Disney. All opinions are 100% mine. ***

I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Iron Man 3 premiere event this past April. I was able to walk the red carpet, see the great new movie first, and interview some awesome celebrities it was a dream come true! But this trip was much more than just for Iron Man 3. I had the chance to be on the set of the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
I got to hold the shield too! I was able to take a picture with the shield, yes the real Captain American shield! I felt like a superhero, so cool!  I am ready for action! We visited the set and got to see how the film is made. Visited the set? Yes this was another dream come true for this fangirl!

Being on set was amazing, the actors really work hard, and there is a lot to do to make a movie great. The set was amazing and huge! The large sound stage was filled with cameras, wires and people! Everything you need to make a blockbuster movie.  After checking out the scene in the Quinjet with Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) you really get a feel of how hard these actors work.

Check out this great new clip of the exact scene we saw being filmed

Frank Grillo, who plays Brock Rumlow a great new to me actor was also on the set the day we were there, he was so nice to come by and say hi when he was between takes. The lines were read again and again, move here, put your hand here, try the scene again. This was only a few minute scene, that took a good while to film.
My fellow bloggers and I got to see this being filmed at a distance on a monitor (since the actors were in the “ship” and the sound stage was so large… it was the only way to see the scene). Look at the top right hand of this picture that is where the actors were. They seemed to be having fun, joking and just having a great time at work.

During a break in the filming we were able to take a walk into the Quinjet ! Now this is something that was truly amazing, the look inside was just like you see in the films, it transported you right to the great scene! Of course there was a green screen, and no real ramp like you see in the film but it still was pretty cool to see. No pictures of this unfortunately, but you will surely see more of the Quinjet in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

We were surprised to find out we would be splitting into groups and getting to take a picture of Chris Evans… But even better… He would be in his Captain America gear! I get to meet Cap! Chris was so sweet, and said hi and chatted with us all. Asked how we were doing, and shook each of our hands. (Ack! I shook Captain America's hand!!) We all split into groups of 5 and went to meet Chris, I tried to get next to him in the picture but I missed out. But I did stretch my arm as far as it could go and made sure my arm made it to his back, and his arm made it to my shoulder so it was all good.
Ashley, Sarah, Tiffany, Chris Evans, Myrah and ME  :)
I had to do it, here we are together :) (Sorry Myrah)

I am so excited to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it looks like a fast paced action packed movie that you would expect from a Marvel movie. Just looking at this great on the set pictures gets me even more excited to see the new movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I think this will be even better than the first movie.

When we are in the theater seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I will be sure to nudge my husband and my daughter when the scene I saw being filmed comes up, to remind them I was there!  I am such a lucky girl.
