Exciting thrilling family fun with Fun Spot America and Medieval Times great additions to any Florida vacation #RockYourVacation

*** I received an all-expense paid trip to FL, courtesy of Experience Kissimmee, to experience these great attractions.. My opinions are 100% my own and have not been influenced in any way.***

I have to admit I am not a fan of thrill rides, I know, I know I am a little scaredy cat. So when I heard we were going to check out FunSpot America, I was a little apprehensive … for the most part the park looked awesome… I just wanted nothing to do with the Sky Coaster.  There were plenty of games, go carts and family fun to keep me entertained for a good while.  We toured the park checking out all of the great sights and fun. This park has no admission fee!

A full-scale family attraction with rides, kids' spot, arcade games, multi-level go-kart tracks and the world’s tallest Sky Coaster. FREE Parking! FREE Admission! FREE WiFi! Family Fun roller coasters, 250 ft. SkyCoaster, 4 multi-level go-kart tracks, 18 rides and 100 arcade games.  Fun Spot America offers Free admission. Free parking.

If you are feeling like walking around with the kids, letting them play a few games in the air-conditioning you can do just that, or you can purchase a wristband for unlimited ride fun (not including the sky coaster… this is an additional fee). Well we are back to the sky coaster… we all went to visit the platform area to see the coaster fly….. Perhaps it was the heat, or the adrenaline of the whole Experience Kissimmee trip… I decided, you only live once, I am going to do this! Not until I asked a minimum of four people repeatedly if this coaster felt like a real rollercoaster…. And each answer was no, this was totally different… Ok, I was in!  I was strapped in with, Shelly, and Stacie and off we went to the sky check out our flight….
And no I did not EVEN SCREAM! And I did not pass out, another fear I had. This ride was just an amazing rush of feeling alive and free.  Flying through the air and enjoying life!

SkyCoaster Height Requirement: 42” For the ultimate thrill seeker! Get the feeling of a bungee jump with the safety factor of a merry-go- round! Ride in groups of up to 3 people as you take flight on the World’s Tallest SkyCoaster standing at 300 feet! On a clear night, you just might be able to see the world’s 2nd Spot America, Orlando. Experience the closest thing to jumping out of a plane besides jumping out of a plane.

Check out our video, it is amazing how high we were!

The Sky Coaster is an additional charge, $40 for one person, $70 for two, $90 for three riders, If you would like to ride the ride by itself, or if you have the admission armband it is an additional $20.00 charge. For real thrill seekers, you are going to love this, the Sky Coaster price goes down each time you ride it, so ride on and save and save.

Hours of operation: Daily: 10am - 12 midnight,  Adult admission: Armbands - $39.95 over 54”(to ride all of the rides as much as you would like.. not including the Sky Coaster). Child admission: Armbands - $29.95 under 54”.

I had a great time at the Fun Spot, this is a great place to visit, it is a break from the craziness of the large theme parks and it a fraction of the cost. From the ticket prices to the food to the merchandise, it is so very affordable. After riding the Sky coaster I just had to buy a tee to commemorate the event, and it was only $7.50, that goes to show you how affordable and fun this great hidden gem is.
If you are in the Kissimmee are I would highly recommend bringing the family to Fun Spot, they will have a blast and your wallet will thank you.

After a great day at Fun Spot, we were off to a more relaxing yet still exciting Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament! Where we were there to enjoy bountiful feast served in true medieval style while witnessing knights of the realm compete in contests.
Welcome to the 11th century! Just beyond the great doors of our Hall of Arms waits the celebration arena, the heart of each of Medieval Times’ nine North American castles. From high above King Don Carlos and Princess Catalina, preside over a four-course feast. Below, privileged royal guests are transported to faraway lands including a romantic snowy rendezvous in the woods and an authentic medieval jousting and skill tournament – with the help of Hollywood-caliber special effects, of course.
I had never had the pleasure of seeing Medieval Times. The closest I ever got was seeing a glimpse of the show in the Jim Carey movie The Cable Guy.. So I really did not know exactly what to expect.  When we arrived we had a great picture taken of our group, we all look like we are ready to have some 11th century fun!
There was medieval pageantry everywhere, as soon as we arrived we were able to meet the king and take a picture in his court, what fun. Then we were off to explore the village, to see how life really was in Medieval Times (when they were not jousting and holding court) it was a fascinating exhibit that showed life, from a bedroom to a bakery, to the dungeon all the trials and tribulations of medieval life.
Then we were off to the show itself, time to cheer for your knight (our section was the blue knights section, so we all had blue crowns and blue banners to wave and cheer on out knight). The dinner began with soup, bread and the main course chicken, rib, and a potato.
And yes, there is no silverware, so you really get into being in in the 11th century. Enjoy your meal while the horse and knights try to impress the king. The knights battle, until there is only one! The show is fun and unique, fun for the whole family.

Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament 2014 Rates
ADULT: $62.95 (+tax & processing fee)
CHILD 12 YEARS & UNDER: $36.95 (+tax & processing fee)
Lap children under the age of 3 are free.

Would you ride the Sky Coaster? Or you a more relaxed Medieval Times fan?

Great place to explore and have tons of fun with the family. We are looking forward to going to cedar point next month with the kids. The sky coaster looks really daring, but I bet it was fun.
