Last weekend my family and I had a nice get together for family movie night. This is a time to have some quality time together and watch a family friendly film. We all hung out together and watcher Heaven Is For Real. We unfortunately did not have the chance to see this film in the theaters so this was our first time experiencing the movie.  Having a #1 New York Times best-selling book you know this is has the ability to be a great movie. Would the story in the book transfer well to the big screen?
Well we were all interested to find out. This film brings the profoundly moving story of the Burpo family to life. This movie is a heartwarming movie where a young boy miraculously recovers from a near-death experience with vivid memories of his visit to Heaven. The movie was wonderful, and tear jerking.  I think the movie was just as good, or even better than the book. I just love the job Greg Kinnear  did as Colton’s father, he is such a great actor he has come so far from his “Talk Soup” days long ago….

Check out this exclusive Wal-Mart extra, the exclusive bonus disc, which features the Burpo family.

We loved the extras that included six  deleted  scenes  and  the  “Colton  Goes  to Heaven”  featurette,  taking  fans  behind  the  scenes  for  a  look  at  the journey  of  bringing the  book to the  big  screen.   After the film we discussed what we thought, we were really touched by Colton’s story.  If you are a religious person or not… you will still question is this Heave for Real?  I always believed there was a heaven and that heaven is REAL. So seeing this movie, did not sway my beliefs.. But if you may question your beliefs you just may be swayed by this true story.

Be sure to print out the Heaven is for Real Discussion guide and pick up a copy of the movie, and have a family movie night with your family. Get talking and discuss your feelings about the film… Did seeing this movie sway your beliefs in any way? This is a wonderful family film, that really makes you think. I am sure your family will love this movie, I know mine did.

We just watched this movie the other night. My 11 year old son asked us to buy it. It was a really good movie. We watched it again the next day.

I was wondering about this movie. It seems overwhelming! I think I would need for my hormones to come down before I can watch it
