Exciting Elephant shows coming soon from Nat Geo WILD & The National Geographic Channel!

 Are you a fan of elephants? For me they are one of the most majestic animals on earth  and I am fascinated by their life and history. For you elephant fans out there there are some exciteding shows coming soon from Nat Geo WILD. First-off, is EXPLORER: WARLORDS OF IVORY and ELEPHANT QUEEN, which both premiere on Sunday, August 30.  The Explorer show will actually air on WILD’s sister network, the National Geographic Channel, at 8/7c and then the ELEPHANT QUEEN show will follow on WILD at 9/8c.

 In the return of National Geographic's critically acclaimed documentary series EXPLORER, follow veteran investigative reporter Bryan Christy on his daring journey to track and expose the illegal global ivory trade. Working with one of the world’s top taxidermists, he conceals a sophisticated GPS tracker inside an incredibly realistic faux ivory tusk and drops it in the heart of ivory poaching country and monitors its movements to track down the kingpins of the ivory trade.

DESTINATION WILD: ELEPHANT QUEEN - Airs on Sunday, August 30 at 9/8c on Nat Geo WILD

To further highlight the importance of Christy’s efforts, Nat Geo WILD will premiere on the same night the one-hour special Elephant Queen, an intimate look inside a majestic herd of African elephants. After the tragic death of her daughter, a herd matriarch must lead her elephants to safety in a breathtaking and inspirational journey.
