Ever wonder what the little voices in your head do? How are
you inner voices, do they have their own personalities do they have their own
lives? Well find that out with the fun new movie from Pixar, Inside Out coming
to theaters everywhere on June 19th!
From an adventurous balloon ride above the
clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete
Docter (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Up”) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places.
In Disney•Pixar’s original movie “ Inside Out,” he will take us to the most
extraordinary location of all—inside the mind.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for
Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job
in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy
Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and
Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center
inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life.
As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

A special Disney Mothers Day! Ready for a Fun run? Yes!! #Disneysmmc
Labels:

My Sunday at the Disney Media Mom's Conference started (not so) bright and early (6 a.m.)
because I signed up to do the GoGo Fun Run, Sponsored by GoGo squeeze.
My husband always talks about the tranquility of the parks in the early
morning hours, he knows this because of the past several years of
attending Star Wars weekend. He’ll typically get up at 2:30 a.m.
and head over to the Studio’s to get in whatever line he needs to get
in. It’s a beautiful sight to see what is normally a bustling and busy
theme park sitting quietly in the still of the night.
I’m not a runner
by any stretch but I wanted to take this opportunity to get to see
something I would not normally get to experience. It was called a run
but you didn’t necessarily have to, I walked while others ran and it was
all good. We made our way around Epcot and seeing Epcot in the dawn was
stunning. It’s a beautiful park to begin with but with the sky behind
it lighting it up in a really cool orangey purple it really looked
wonderful.
We
ended our run at the Butterflies on the Go butterfly garden, and I can’t
help but thinking about my husband again…..he’s petrified of butterflies. (Luckily I am not :)
This is an exhibit my daughter and I always
make our way into when we’re down here and the Flower and Garden
Festival are going on. We leave the big chicken outside where he’s safe
from the threat of the butterflies!
From Epcot we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for our
goodbye breakfast. Breakfast sponsored by Disney Consumer
Products—Imagicademy was wonderful. I can’t complain about any of the
food we were fed at the conference, it was all wonderful and different
and we never left anywhere hungry. I’ve never had as much food in a cone
that wasn’t ice cream as I did over these past few days! Food in a cone
is a wonderful idea.
During
breakfast up on the big screen we were treated by pictures we had taken
and tweeted over the past couple of days. And I was happy and proud to
see my family with Hiro and Baymax up on the screen, I was delighted to
see several of my pictures up on the screen, it really made my Mother’s
Day even more special. After breakfast we were given quite a delightful
surprise a performance by Orlando’s own VoicePlay!
They appeared on the 4th season of The Voice and we’re absolutely fantastic. They instantly grabbed my daughter’s attention when the mentioned they just released a series of a cappella video game covers. My little gamer and savvy internet user quickly looked them up and was bopping her head up and down to the music. This was really a special surprise, these guys are wonderfully talented singers and performers and they were really funny as well. You could feel a sense of brotherly love between them it really came through with their performance.
And
finally we were treated by a skit that hit a little close to home with
us and that was given by the Disney's Imagicademy. It involved a mother and
daughter and the daughter was a budding artist and it just followed her
along her path as a budding artist to an artist. It hit me because
that’s what I’m living right now. My daughter loves to draw and has been
drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. We’ve always encouraged her
to draw and help her talent grow and who knows maybe one day she’ll be
drawing feature length animations for Disney or Pixar.
I’m excited to
see what the future holds for my little girl and this skit really made
this Mother’s Day a little more special. After breakfast we gave our
goodbye’s to each other and it got a little weepy but we all had fun and
will all keep in touch and hopefully I’m lucky enough to see them all
again if I’m lucky enough to be invited back. We had a wonderful time
and experienced things we never thought we’d get to do and I’m glad we
had the opportunity to do it.

Well the day is here! With butterflies in my stomach I
headed down to the conventions center at the Yacht and Beach Club, I was off to
learn more about Disney and make some great new friends. This was so exciting!
To start our first official conference day, we were greeted with a lovely healthy breakfast, an amazing
spread that include an make your own omelet bar, and loads of other breakfast favorites.
As we enjoyed our breakfast we learned how Disney is making the food they serve
us in the parks more healthy. They are also working to make the food more
allergy friendly.

Are you traveling this summer? Here are some great road trip books for your little ones!
Summer is coming and many are planning some fun trips. Be it
in a car or a plane there are lots of places to go, and the little ones will
need some fun for the car. I remember traveling with my daughter when she was
in pre-school, as soon as we started moving on our road trip she would say “I’m
bored!” what can I do? Well I learned
pretty quickly that each road trip need a bag of kid friendly supplies, that is
filled with snacks, coloring books, crayons and fun books to read and enjoy
during the drive/flight. There are some great traveling books coming soon from
Disney Publishing, here are some of my favorites, each are prefect for ages 3 - 5 years and for kids in the grade levels Preschool – Kindergarten:

Our home during the Disney Social Media Moms conference, Disney's Beach Club Resort #Disneysmmc

I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media
Moms Celebration conference. I paid a conference fee to attend. I received a
discounted rate for my stay. All opinions are my own. I have not been

The Disney Social Media Moms Conference was a dream come
true for me. Not only would I be traveling to Disney to learn about some cool
new Disney things, and meet great bloggers…. I would also be going with my
family! Being able to experience this wonderful time with my family was a gift.
My family and I were very excited to stay at Disney’s Beach Club resort. This
would become our home away from home for the extended weekend.
We stayed at the Yacht Club a couple of years ago and we
love trying new hotels so this was a good chance to try something new that kind
of had a familiar look since the Beach & Yacht Clubs are mirror resorts and
add into the mix that you're within walking distance to the International Gateway.
The Beach Club was also within walking distance from the conference center,
which was great since I would be spending a bit of time there this weekend.
Our room was bright and cheery, with large comfortable beds and a day bed.. Giving our family of three plenty of room to spread out, and we all loved having our own bed.
The hotel has the most spectacular pool on Disney property
(well in my humble opinion) a sand bottom pool that will amaze you. Stormalong
Bay is a huge pool, filled with waterfalls, sand and a huge ship! This is no
ordinary ship, it is also a cool slide!
As soon as my daughter saw this pool all
she wanted to do was go swimming…. When can we go to the pool mom?? She seemed
more interested in going to this pool than going to the parks… kids!
The view is something else, imagine a vey of a beach and
board walk… Ahhh it just relaxes you and puts you in a beachy mood. Being a
family that has traveled to the Jersey Shore each summer for our entire lives,
this is a shore line like no other. A beautiful well maintained hotel Disney’s
Beach Club is a place we will be returning to soon. If you are looking for a hotel that has lovely
theming, a wonderful pool and is close to Epoct be sure to check out Disney’s
Beach Club Resort, I am sure your family will love it as much as my family did.
Would you like to stay at Disney’s
Beach Club Resort?
