Being a working mom is a tough job, it can be a real balancing act with my day work and my life work. It is like having two full time jobs life never seems to slow down. I have a calendar full of scheduled appointments, playdates, and school events. My life is full of sticky messes and late nights and early mornings I have been through it all. But as hectic and on the go my life is I would not change it, I love my life.  But there are sometimes you just dream of having some “me” time then, life gets even more hectic when sickness comes into your life! Oh no!

Now things are about to get wild! When this happens know that you are not alone, it is tough enough for a mom when household is healthy let alone when some are not feeling themselves. Pfizer Consumer Healthcare have released a video depicting a small glimpse of what moms may feel and experience when their child is under the weather. Can you relate? Be sure to check out the video below:

I would like to share one of those Sick just got real.™  moments that I went through, I was being a great Mom and Aunt and I wanted to take my daughter and her two cousins (who were all around the ages from 6-7) to a long weekend trip to the Philadelphia Zoo, we were going to stay in the city and  do a hot air balloon and tour. I had some great plans, I tell ya. We packed up the car and I headed out (as the only adult with the group) with 3 little ones and we headed on our fun filled weekend. After we arrived at our destination we were all checked in and ready to explore. I noticed my daughter was a bit sluggish but she was really excited to get going so I assumed it was the traveling that made her tired, or she simply had a bad night’s sleep.

We trudged on and the kids were having a blast, sharing cotton candy, getting all gooey and sharing sodas and trading lunch items. Soon I would realize it was one of those Sick just got real.™  moments. It seemed to happen out of nowhere each child looked terrible, and one by one started complaining that they did not feel well, we headed back to the hotel asap! We barely got back and the three kids were feeling awful. Between the sniffles, the aches and the upset stomachs all three had it, whatever “it” was… “It” was a cross between Montezuma’s Revenge and a zombie virus! I am kidding...but it was pretty bad.  Luckily I did not share in the cotton candy or the water ice fun, I was spared the wrath of this cold. You just never know when it will be the time you realize Sick just got real.™. I still felt bad for the kids, and would have switched places with them if I could have. I just wanted the kids to feel better.
After a while the kids just slept and slept and eventually felt more like themselves. Life does not work the way you plan all the time but we did have a great time together before sickness reared its ugly head, and I always have this story to tell!  If you are looking ways to help if Sick just got real.™ for your family, there are solutions to help tackle even the ickiest of symptoms, be sure to check out the line of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare products available at your local grocery store, be prepared when Sick just got real.™

It is so hard when one of your children are sick. The worry that we have on top of the care that they need takes a lot love and patience. I am always happy when my kids get better so we have our daily routine back.

That faucet part made me giggle. Although I would probably prefer iced tea. When my kid is sick I do want her to just get better.

It is a struggle having multiple kids and having one sick. They require extra time with and the other children still want your help too. This pretty much leaves no time for yourself.
