A journey through the looking glass, my experience at the red carpet premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass. #‎ThroughTheLookingGlassEvent

**Disney provided an all-expense paid trip for me to cover this event, all opinions are 100% my own **

Taking a break from real life is just a great thing, sometimes it is nice to just get away. Imagine going far, far away to a magical land where anything can happen. Well, I recently had the pleasure of going on a magical adventure just like that, the red carpet premiere of Alice Through the Looking Glass! With my job, I have been very fortunate to have walked a few red carpets in the past, but let me tell you it gets even more awesome each time you do it. I love my job!
Every aspect of attending a red carpet event is amazing. From the changing red carpet colors, no not all “red carpets” are actually red they can be any color! This cool carpet was red and black, a neat paisley type print. To the star watching, to the spectacular events on the carpet, you just never know what is going to happen at these events and that is what makes them even cooler in my mind… Surprises are always wonderful!

There was no need for a full length ball gown for this premiere, it was a lot more casual yet still dressy. I wore a nice cocktail dress that was white, with blue roses splashed across the dress, it was pretty & comfortable.
I think it fit in well for the colorful Alice theme, imagine a “painting the roses red” dress but with blue roses, (sorry Red Queen, I like blue better).  The nervous butterflies were there and I was very excited to be strolling down the carpet. It was a chance to be a celebrity for the day, pass the autograph seekers and paparazzi, it was very cool.
The red carpet area was covered in grass walls that really gave you wonderland feel.We got to check out some of the fun New Alice merchandise from HSN, so super cute from jewelry to dresses to purses there were quite a few things I had my eye on to purchase.
There were some zany folks dressed up as their favorite characters, this is Hollywood Boulevard after all...  We past by someone dressed as the Mad Hatter, he looked great, and he even had the accent and the gestures!

We were all treated to a red carpet performance by P!nk she performed her hits “Just Like Fire” and “White Rabbit” from Alice Through the Looking Glass on Hollywood Boulevard as part of her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
P!nk was great live, and she looked amazing. It was like a personal concert just for us, you could not help but dance!

I was able to walk along such great starts as Johnny Depp, (EEEPP! Johnny Depp!! I had to keep myself in check, and not scream out), Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Rhys Ifans, the hilarious Sacha Baron Cohen and so many more big name celebrities.
After the whirlwind of the concert and walking the red carpet, we were off to view Alice Through the Looking Glass in the El Capitan theater, Disney’s classic premiere theater on Hollywood Boulevard. After enjoying the movie we were off to another adventure. We were going to the movie premiere after party! An after party?? Whoa now I really felt like a celebrity, time to take the limo and head off to Spagos!
I kid, but it was a great feeling to be invited to another private event that would be filled with more celebrities. This was a jaw dropping time, from my right to my left I saw celebrities everywhere!
I was fortunate to get a selfie with Oscar winning designer Colleen Atwood, who also designed the costumes for Alice Through the Looking Glass, she was super sweet.  There was great music and delicious food, it was a wonderful time to celebrate the premiere and hang out with some great friends.
My time on the red carpet was an amazing memorable experience, something I will remember forever! How was the movie you ask? I will give you my full review very soon, but I can say it is as wonderful as you think it is going to be.
I will have more Alice Through the Looking Glass information and to share with you all soon too. I will even have an interview with the movies talented Director James Bobin , Producer Suzanne Todd and the star of Alice Through the Looking Glass, Mia Wasikowska “Alice Kingsleigh” herself! Stay tuned for these amazing interviews.

I was watching an interview with the senior editor for Rotten Tomatoes, and (though she couldn't make any specific remarks) she said she liked this new movie more than the first one!
