The amazing Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge, has it all! #HersheyPA

*** I received lodging and admission to the park for the subject matter contained in this post, all opinions are 100% my own***

Planning a getaway this summer? Looking for a place to visit the whole family will love? My family and I just adore Hershey PA! With the amazing fun at Hershey park and the deluxe Hershey accommodations and chocolate that just about everywhere you can’t go wrong with this great get away!  From the Hershey Hotel, the Hershey Campgrounds to the Hershey Lodge there is a place for all styles and budgets.

My favorite place to stay in Hershey PA , The Hershey Lodge the cozy feel of the lodge can’t be beat.  Did you know that the Hershey Lodge has a great new addition? There is a brand new (it just opened this past Memorial Day!) amazing pool complex called Hershey’s Water Works.
This is a pool area unlike any other, one of the coolest I have ever seen at a hotel.  Imagine a huge, I mean huge pool play area, 30,000 square feet, with the aquatic facility measuring 20,000 square feet. This big pool area is ready to be enjoyed by 781 people at one time. Wow!
I know when my family and I visit a hotel the pool is one of the first places we check out.. Why? Well my daughter is on the swim team, and there is nothing she loves more than being in the water swimming, splashing around and just having fun. I love to go to the pool area to watch my daughter enjoy and play around with her too. She is growing up so quickly, I want to cherish I have the time I have to just let her be a kid, and enjoy our family time together. From slides to casual floating Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge, has it all!
Hershey’s Water Works and a cool complex that is more than just amazing pools. The theming of Hershey’s Water Works includes Hershey’s Product Characters and elements reflecting The Boardwalk at Hersheypark.

Features of Hershey’s Water Works facility include:

  • Two zero entry pools
  • Twizzlers Twists Slides
  • Reese’s Water Walk
  • Water play structure
  • Outdoor splash pad

We recently checked out this spectacular pool area and I have to say, oh the pictures do not do this justice, it is just wonderful! We could stay here all day! (when booking think about staying that extra day, think about it, one day at the park and one day at the pool, this totally doable). Were we there to relax or play, well I tried to make it a little of both.  The zero entry pool let me just stroll into the pool and enjoy the cool water.

My daughter just loved the Twizzlers Twists Slides, what is there not to love about a slide that starts inside then heads outside then twirls and squiggles and heads back inside.  Of course being the big kid that I am I had to try it out to, and I have to say it was exhilarating! I have not been on a slide like that in about 20 years! It brought back the kid in me, it was a lot of fun.
The Reese’s Water Walk was a fun test of who could stand up and make it farther down the walk, well I made it to two… not the best my husband to three and my daughter made it across multiple times (I think by this time she may have been showing off : ). My husband and my daughter had the best time with the pool basketball. My husband sees himself as a professional pop a shot basketball player, and he was hitting basket after basket. He showed my daughter how he was getting so many baskets, and she practiced did pretty well herself. It is the little things, just an afternoon playing water basketball with daddy, such a special day.
There were plenty of food and beverage offerings to purchase including a full bar and wait staff. Ahh just think about it relaxing with a cold milkshake while sitting by the pool as you enjoy and love life.  Overall Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge was a huge hit with my family and we will be headed back soon.
Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge area is open to overnight guests at the Hershey Lodge, so be sure to book your stay rooms are booking up for the summer!  Hershey Lodge welcomes guests with 665 guest rooms, four unique dining options, recreation, activities and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space. An official resort of Hersheypark, all Hershey Lodge guests enjoy the benefits of the Hershey Resorts Advantage including the best price on Park tickets, complimentary shuttle service to and from the Park, early Park admission and more.
Hershey wanted to have a place where their guests can enjoy themselves in all types of weather year-round.  They went all out on this wonderful facility, with a project cost of 13 million, you know this is a big project that Hershey feels strongly about. With this upgraded indoor pool experience, there is also a new fitness facility and game room!  All you would need to relax and have a great time on your Hershey vacation.
You will want to stay tuned for some more great Hershey PA fun! From the great rides and games at Hershey Park, to the great Hershey park eats (yes there is more than just great chocolate, well not that there is anything wrong with a chocolate diet, you are in Hershey after all…) to ZooAmerica great place for kids, adults and even picky tweens like my daughter, I have so much more to come!

As a resident of PA, I grew up going to Hershey Park. I love seeing all the new additions. I am actually headed there this week for my son's school trip!

So what you're telling me is that there's a theme park devoted to Hershey's chocolate and that ALSO has an indoor water park? Is that what you're saying to me right now? SCORE!

I love Hershey Park but I've never considered staying overnight in the area before. Now I'll have to do that next time because the Hershey Lodge looks like a total blast!

AMAZING! I am a Philly native, but live in Boston. I am always looking for places to take the kids so that we can pack our trips home with fun stuff!

How fun! An indoor water park that kids can use in all kinds of weather. We don't have anything like that in California, so when it rains they have to just close the park.

While the waterworks look incredible, my favorite aspect is the presence of life guards. That just brings a whole new level to the fun for parents IMO.
