Visit Hersheypark, a chocolate themed amusement park the whole family will love! #HersheyPA

*** I received lodging and admission to the park for the subject matter contained in this post, all opinions are 100% my own***

A place that I've loved to visit for many years has been Hersheypark, in the summer or in the fall/winter I just love going there. What is not to love? Just leaving the city and visiting the quaint town of Hershey PA, brings me to my happy place.
This past weekend we took a little road trip 90 miles up the PA Turnpike to Hershey to have some fun at Hersheypark. This fun family playground has been a part of PA for over 100 years. Originally built in 1907 this park was a nice place Milton S. Hershey built for the his employees so that they could enjoy picnicking and boating.
Today’s Hersheypark is sprawled over a vast 121 lovely acres.  The tree filled park to me is unlike any amusement park I have ever been to. From the chocolate treats that are everywhere, there are bars, ice cream, cakes and more.  The park is filled with hills (so be sure to pack your sneakers) and there is so much to see everywhere.
For me Hersheypark has a more laid back comfortable atmosphere it is a more relaxing kind of place take time to smell the flowers then stop and feed the ducks.
Take a stroll around the park, sit on the bench and enjoy! There are also plenty of fun games that start at $2.00 a play and range from 10 rings to 3 balls for $2.00 not a bad deal at all.  My family had a blast trying to win an enormous stuffed bear (in reality if we really did win this, it would not fit in our car! It was that big) we played a ring toss game, the one where you have to get the ring on top of a bottle…
We came close a few times, no win for us but we sure did have fun trying to perfect our throws.  Take a photo with your favorite chocolate character, you will find them in all parts of the park, take a second to say hi and I am sure you will just smile.
Soak up summertime with your family at The Boardwalk At Hersheypark, included in your one-price admission! The Boardwalk is a perfect place to cool down on a hot summer day. Come early and hand out at the water park, for a splashing good time. Take a side down the many water slides and if you are daring try the Coastline Plunge – Vortex or Hershey’s Tidal Force this is one of the tallest splash-down rides in the world. Guaranteed to get you soaked!
The kiddie rides at Hersheypark, are great for the little ones in your family toddlers to around 3rd gradrs. The rides include the Dizzy Drums the Bizzy Bees, Mini Pirate Ship and so many more! Want to go on the ride as a family? The family rides, including Reese's Xtreme Cup Challenge, The Skyview, The Music Express, the Wave Swinger and the Kissing Tower there over 40 family rides between Hersheypark and The Boardwalk.

If you have a thrill seeker in your family they are going to have a blast at Hersheypark, this park is filled with 13 huge coasters. The Roller Coasters range from the more family friendly coaster the new, Laff Trakk to thrilling The Great Bear coaster to the classic Comet coaster this wooden roller coaster featuring quick turns and drops.

Hersheypark’s summer season is April 29th- September 25th the park is also open in the fall Oct 14-16, 21-23, 28-30 and for the select days during the holiday season, from November 11th to December 31st.  Save time and purchase Hersheypark tickets at home, buy and print your tickets and go right to the park entrance, such a time saver! Look into a Ride, Dine & Play Pack sold online only with this pack, you can save more than 20% with 1 admission ticket, 1 meal ticket, and 1 game voucher.

If you are looking for a local day trip or a weekend travel vacation Hershey PA has so much to offer. Have fun at Hersheypark, then take a trip around Chocolate Town USA with a tour on Hershey Trolley Works, or take the family to a fun filled day at ZooAmerica. Stay at the Hershey Lodge and make a splash at Hershey Waterworks, at the Hershey Lodge, and while you stay enjoy the divine food Hershey has available.  I will have a look at some of this amazing food, and a special behind the scenes look at ZooAmerica soon, so stay tuned!
The generous folks at Hershey are giving one of Susan’s Disney Family readers a chance to win a family 4 pack of tickets to Hersheypark! The park tickets will be valid for the summer season and will expire on September 25th, this gives you plenty of time to use them. Would you like to win? I like Hersheypark's Super Duper Looper the most. I remember riding it for the first time right after it was built in 1977 and many more times after that.

One of the things love is that Hershey is allergy-friendly and that each restaurant is listed on their website and mobile App with menu items, ingredients and allergen information. Makes it much easier to go and enjoy yourselves if you have children with food allergies.
