Holiday Gift Guide: 240Sweet - Review (And a Giveaway)

Partners Alexa Lemley and Samantha Aulick hand-craft artisan treats in Columbus, Indiana. Originally, we made marshmallows to give to our catering customers. Soon, people begin clamoring for more puffs. 240Sweet was born.

My Review:

Guest post from my wonderful husband:

We received a box full of marshmallows from 240 Sweet (http://240sweet.com/) and the first thing I noticed is these aren’t your average marshmallows! These marshmallows are bigger, better and heavier than the average store bought mallows. On top of it all they’re flavored! I know the Jet Puffed marshmallows come in strawberry and chocolate and even cinnamon but that’s it. Where’s the creativity? It’s all at 240 Sweet; they’ve brought marshmallows to another level.

The flavors we were sent were key lime, elephant ear and pina colada. I’ll tell you how good these marshmallows are, I loathe coconut, I detest it. To quote Woody Harrelson from Zombieland it’s not the taste but the texture.

I figured for the good of the blog I’ll try it and be done with it, and then I ate the other one and the other one was claimed by my daughter before I could gobble it down. I thoroughly enjoyed the pina colada! I was floored, stunned, amazed and taken a back that I actually ate something with toasted coconut on it and enjoyed it. You’ve turned me from a coconut hater to a coconut believer. Key lime was a hit too, once you bite it you know what it is, we didn’t tell our daughter the flavor just to see her reaction when biting into it and she puckered and said key lime my favorite!

She had a hard time sharing them with us but we were able to get a taste. The key lime was very cool; it was neat eating a marshmallow that was sweet but not that normal marshmallow sweet, the tart bite was really good.

And then there was the elephant ear. It was cinnamon and sugar, my absolute all-time favorite flavor combination, and quite possibly the greatest flavor combination ever. I bit into the elephant ear marshmallow and had a truly religious experience. I’m declaring the elephant ear marshmallow the greatest marshmallow ever! Don’t bother to argue with me because you’ll lose. We were impressed with these marshmallows; they are gourmet delights that don’t disappoint.
What a great gift idea! A great stocking stuffer as well a 3 count is $5.00 so they are affordable so remember to pick up some this holidays season.
