My Review

We have a DS fiend in our house, my daughter has her DS and my husband’s old iPhone connected to her hip at all times. So when she was given a chance to review a game she was all excited about getting to play a game and tell me what she thinks about it. The game she’s reviewing is Hotel Transylvania, the movie featuring the voice of Adam Sandler.
The game is an offshoot of the movie, the Hotel Transylvania is where the monsters go to get away from the humans and when a human shows up unannounced he has to survive a night in this creepy hotel.

This is a game that has a few different aspects it’s a side scrolling action game that has puzzle aspects to it and that’s the one thing that has my daughter hooked. She loves games with puzzles that challenge her and now that she can read she loves to figure them out on her own and is very proud of herself when she gets them right.
She’s been playing the game on a regular basis for a week or so now and still has a lot of playtime left in it so it’s not a quick finishing game. There are bosses at the end of each level some are easier than others but she still likes the fact that the game is a bit of a challenge for her. I hate buying games and watching her finish in a day or so, these games generally aren’t cheap so when you buy them and get a few hours of gameplay you and your kid feel ripped off. This isn’t the case here.
The graphics are good and the game follows the movie plot line and you get to see a lot of familiar monsters and settings from the movie. If you enjoyed the movie or are just a fan of great movie monsters this is the game for you.
