Taos Footwear “Gift” Sandal a great sandal for the spring/summer (And a Giveaway)

Do you love cute shoes, and is comfort a must for you when it comes to buying shoes? Well as a working mom, I can be on my feet all day and for me, my shoes must always be comfortable. But can shoes look good and still be comfortable? Sure my sneakers are comfortable but they are not exactly cute and stylish? I have come across a great shoe company that I would like to share with you all, Taos Footwear, with Taos you can have the best of both worlds style AND comfort! Here is a little more information about the company from the website:

Women Shouldn't Have to Choose Between Style and Comfort. Their mission is to fight so that women don’t have to choose between style and comfort for their feet.

We have always been inspired by the natural beauty and creative culture of the American Southwest. And nowhere does this better than Taos, New Mexico. Just drive up from Santa Fe and you’ll see what we mean. Go and eat the carne adovada (red chile-marinated pork) or blue-corn enchiladas at Orlando’s New Mexican Cafe on the road to the ski resort. Or get a cappuccino at World Cup café just off the main plaza. Visit some of the local artist’s studios. Walk the back streets and notice the architecture, the colors and textures, even the fences. You’ll know why we love Taos and why we celebrate it by naming our brand after it.

Cute versus comfort? We think it’s a ridiculous choice to have to make. Why should women cram their feet into torture chambers with high heels when guys are strolling around in soft loafers? There may be a place for high fashion with delicate, strappy shoes with stiletto heels, but it’s for a few hours at a cocktail party or art opening. How often do you dress like that? A few times a year…maybe? Taos Footwear is for the rest of your life.

There are so many great shoes on the Taos site, here are a few of my favorites:

 Spirit

Trolley

Stepstone

My Review:

I am always in the search for comfortable shoes. For me my life is very hectic, and I am always on the run, from going to school meetings, blogging events to working full time. My schedule is full and I am constantly busy and my feet feel it! At times I have to dress professionally and sneakers are not appropriate. Comfortable shoes that are good looking and professional are something I am in desperate need of a great pair of shoes that are stylish and can stand up to all of what I can put the shoes through all while keeping my feet comfortable.
This is where the comfortable sandals from Taos footwear come, if you though style and comfort could never go together for a shoe, well I am here to say they can exist together in a great shoe, a shoe from Taos. I was very fortunate to be able to review a pair of sandals from Taos, the “gift” style in the color champagne (a light bronze/gold color) the color is pretty and matches with most of my wardrobe, a great neutral color.  I am amazed at how supple to upper and the bottom of these sandals are. They feel like I am slipping into a soft marshmallow. It is amazing. These sandals come in several colors including, Black, Champagne, Light Gold, Pearl Navy a color for all tastes.

I have a wide foot and finding shoes that cover my foot, (like certain sandals, boots, and sneakers) are sometimes difficult. If the shoe is narrow, it just will not fit my foot, fortunately for me, the upper of these shoes is so supple and it is not rough and rigid at all, making it a great fit for my wide foot.  I was recently in Cancun, these shoes would have been wonderful to have! Dressy enough to pair with a nice sundress, or dress down enough to wear to the pool or to the beach.

So if you are looking for a new pair of shoes (or two) for the upcoming spring and summer season, I would highly recommend a pair from Taos, the shoes are made well and are the most comfortable sandals I have ever had.  I will surely be bringing these great shoes on our trip to Disneyland in June these shoes will be great in the California sun.  They will be great for walking around the park during the day, and when we go to a nice restaurant in the evening I could see these working well with a nice tip and skirt. A great day to evening sandal, that will feel great and look great on your foot.  I love these well-made shoes, and I am sure you will love them too.

  13. wow I love their stepstone shoes! Wow.. My only downfall is I cannot seem to find wide enough shoes. Not many shoe makers bother to make wide sizes. Makes me cry.
