On Nov. 26, VeggieTales, the most popular faith-based children’s entertainment brand, unveils a brand-new Netflix original series for kids,VeggieTales In the House. The all-new series marks the first time in the 21-year history of VeggieTales that Bob, Larry and the veggiecrew venture off the countertop for exciting new adventures, while remaining true to the values-driven storytelling that has long made VeggieTales such a beloved part of childhood.
The first five 22-minute episodes will be available for Netflix members in the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France to watch instantly. “There’s a whole world that’s been right under our noses this whole time, and we can’t wait to see it,” said VeggieTales star Bob the Tomato. Echoed Larry the Cucumber: “The sweet potatoes are so excited, they don’t even know where to starch!”

In VeggieTales In the House, the veggies will take on a new, refreshed look as DreamWorks Animation puts its creative muscle behind the beloved faith-based brand. VeggieTales creator Big Idea became part of DreamWorks in 2012 as part of the studio’s acquisition of Classic Media. “We’re excited to give the beloved VeggieTales a brand new adventure,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President, Original Content, Netflix. “For many of our 53 million members worldwide, this will be the first time they’ve been introduced to the world’s most entertaining vegetables. We hope many more families become fans of this wholesome preschool series.”
In each 22-minute episode of VeggieTales In the House, two separate 11-minute stories impart important life lessons, designed to please both young viewers and longtime fans of the VeggieTales brand. Every episode also includes brand-new songs and, of course, the famous closing phrase that has been at the heart of VeggieTales from the beginning: “God made you special, and He loves you very much.”
My daughter grew up watching VeggieTales, she loved this when she was a little girl. The series are perfect for the ages 5-8, but my 2 year old niece just loves it! We checked out some of the newest episodes on Netflix, the newest season VeggieTales in the House has 4 episodes each split into 11 minute stories that take place inside the Veggie's house. All of your favorites are still there from Bob the Tomato, to Larry the Cucumber, and more.

Each of the stories have a moral theme and are great family fun! My niece loved all of these new episodes, her favorite was Pie Fight, where Bob won the annual pie eating contest, but it accused of cheating... Hmm, did Bob cheat? Well I am not going to spoil this for you, be sure to check out the entire series on Netflix, I am sure your little ones will love this!
