GET THE GRINGO, written, produced by and starring Mel Gibson, available now

Are you looking for a great action movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat? Well I have a movie to recommend for you GET THE GRINGO starring Mel Gibson. Here is a little information about the movie:

Car chases, bloody bodies and a hard-core prison... all in a day's work. Mel Gibson's vacation plans take a turn for the worse in the raw, explosive and action-packed GET THE GRINGO, arriving on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download July 17 courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Icon Productions.

Gibson stars as Driver, an American criminal who violently crashes his car through the border wall as he tries to outrun the U.S. Border Patrol and coming to a screeching halt in Mexico. A Having survived the crash only to land inside a hard-core Mexican prison, Driver enters the strange and dangerous world of "El Pueblito." A In the middle of this ruthless penal colony, Driver must do whatever it takes to survive, even if he must turn to the unlikely guidance from a 10-year-old kid who shows him the ropes.

Featuring a command performance reminiscent of his early action-adventure career, Gibson's talent is excelled only by his contributions to GET THE GRINGO as the film's producer and co-screenwriter. Gibson teamed with Adrian Grunberg his first assistant director on APOCALYPTO who co-wrote and debuted as director on this explosive action flick. Filmed in Mexico, the multi-lingual film also stars Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Jesus Ochoa, Roberto Sosa, Dolores Heredia, Kevin Hernandez, Fernando Becerril, Mayra Serbullo, Mario Zaragoza, Gerardo Taracena, Tenoch Huerta and Peter Gerety. Co-producers include Bruce Davey and Stacy Perskie. A The Blu-ray is loaded with special features including five behind-the-scenes featurettes on the making of the film and a music video.

Our Take:

I think Mel Gibson is a great actor, say what you wish about his personal life, but this guy can act. I wanted to have a little movie night with my husband, and we were lucky to see the new movie Get the Gringo, an action packed flic. We put my daughter to sleep, and popped some popcorn and got ready for some action.

"GET THE GRINGO stars Mel Gibson as Driver, an American criminal who violently crashes his car into the border wall as he tries to outrun the U.S. Border Patrol.  Driver survives the crash only to land inside a hard-core Mexican prison where he enters the strange and dangerous world of “El Pueblito.”

So now what can Driver do? He finds guidance from an unlikely source a 10 year old boy who shows him the ropes. Kevin Hernandez, the young man who played the kid who helps Driver out in the film. Kevin is an amazing actor, and I am sure he will have a nice career ahead of him he really made me feel for his character and made it seem so real.

I do not want to spoil the movie for you, but this movie is full of action and great scenes. You will not be disappointed.  Make sure to pick up this great hidden gem, and enjoy an action packed movie that will keep you on the edge of your seats.  Just make sure not to have the base pumped up too much, these action scenes are intense and if the pound is high… you will wake the kids (yes we accidentally woke my daughter, sorry sweetie!).

Make sure to check out this great clip!
