Kid Safety Band Review (And a giveaway)

From the Kids safety band web site:

Kid Safety Bands are high quality 100% silicone wristbands just like the popular Livestrong™ wristbands. Only our wristbands are specifically designed for you to add your child's initials or If found please call and your cell phone number(s). Kid Safety Band / Universal Safety Band come in 3 sizes: x-small (6in), small (7in), and adult (8in). (x-small bands are for 3-5 year olds and small bands for 5-8 year olds) They also sell the bands in adult sizes.

Warning: CHOKING HAZARD: Not For Children Under 3.

The bands are $5.00 each.  They have your child's initials on one side and your phone number on the other side.

My Review:

The worst thing to happen when you're out with your child is that you get separated from them, it's a terrible feeling for both parent and child. Fear and panic will quickly set in and you'll hope that your child remembers your cell phone number. Great a six year old needs to remember a number I have a hard time remembering! That's where Kid Safety Bands (http://www.kidssafetybands.com/) step in. What a ingenious idea! These are rubber bracelets much like the Livestrong bracelets with your child's initials and your phone number etched onto the bracelet. They come in orange and offer x-small for 3 to 5 year olds and small which generally fit 5 to 8 year olds. Our daughters bracelet was a small one and fit her just fine, plenty or stretch and plenty of room.

For our past few trips to the World we used the sticker tattoo on our daughter with one of our cell numbers on it, this is a great thing and gives you peace of mind but is awful to get off and is unsightly in pictures. Not to mention the residue it leaves behind and the screaming process we go through when vacation is over and it's time to remove the tattoo. Even fake tattoo removals hurt! These bands are the best option, period. It's a stylish bracelet that is very inconspicuous and won't look funny or out of place in pictures. The best thing is they only use your child's initials and not their full name which is another nice safety feature, we found that they work as ankle bracelets too, my daughter has thin feet and we were able to slip the rubber bracelet right over her little foot without any problem. Put it on the wrist or the ankle and feel safe knowing that if you do mange to get separated that your child will not have to remember your cell number on top of being freaked out.
