About the Founder:
Lee Zalben is the founder and president of New York City's world famous Peanut Butter & Co., and the man behind "gourmet peanut butter." . On December 21, 1998, the vacant storefront became the Peanut Butter & Co. Sandwich Shop, offering not just various kinds of peanut butter sandwiches like The Elvis and Pregnant Lady but also peanut butter in newfangled flavors like Dark Chocolate Dreams and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl.

It was only a matter of time when people started clamoring to take the peanut butter home. Today, Peanut Butter & Co. is sold in ten delicious flavors in over 10,000 stores around the country and in Canada, the U.K., Japan, and Hong Kong. And the sandwich shop has turned into a pilgrimage site for many peanut butter lovers all over the world. Lee's dream to open a peanut butter sandwich shop did not just become a reality, but he also created the market for specialty peanut butter.

The yummy favors they have are:

Smooth Operator – a smooth, natural peanut butter
Mighty Maple – peanut butter blended with maple syrup
Cinnamon Raisin Swirl – peanut butter blended with cinnamon and raisins
The Heat Is On – peanut butter blended with fiery spices
White Chocolate Wonderful – peanut butter blended with white chocolate
Dark Chocolate Dream – peanut butter blended with dark chocolate
The Bee’s Knees – peanut butter blended with honey
Crunch Time – peanut butter blended with great big pieces of chopped peanuts
Old Fashioned Crunchy – peanut butter blended with peanuts
Old Fashioned Smooth – peanut butter blended with perfectly roasted peanuts

I was lucky enough to be able to review the Mighty Maple flavor:

My Review:

There are several peanut butter’s to choose from: Skippy, Jiff, Peter Pan, Smuckers etc. What do they all have in common? They can’t hold a candle to Peanut Butter and Company! We discovered Peanut Butter and Company (http://ilovepeanutbutter.com/) more than 9 years ago by chance on the Food Network my boyfriend (husband now) saw a 30 seconds blurb about this specialty peanut butter shop in New York, he told me what he saw and I was intrigued. I did a little research and came across Peanut Butter and Company and I was on the phone with Amtrak booking tickets for a trip to New York.

It was a terrible Saturday, it was rainy and just all around miserable. But after wandering through some interesting neighborhoods we finally found what we were looking for! We were wet and tired but when we walked into their shop we totally forgot about all of our issues. We ordered our sandwiches and couldn’t wait to taste what we traveled over 90 miles to try and we were not disappointed!

Peanut Butter and Company make natural no stir peanut butter, and the taste is off the charts good. You can put this peanut butter on anything including old shoes. We had the chance to try their Mighty Maple flavor, the only thing that comes close to cinnamon in my husband’s world in maple. He flipped when I told him what we received and ran for a spoon and was in peanut buttery maple bliss stating whomever came up with this flavor needs is a genius!

It’s seriously good peanut butter, the maple flavor is there and easy to spot but it isn’t dominating you still get a good peanut flavor. I could go on forever telling you how good their products are but words won’t let you be able to taste how delicious their peanut butter is do yourself a favor and buy a jar or case, I suggest a case it’s a smarter move!

My kids and myself love peanut butter. It's good for you, it's tasty, and well, different from the mandatory chocolaty spreads. Thumbs up!
