Our food voyages in delicious New Orleans

New Orleans is a foodies paradise, with so many great things to eat! We really had to budget our time so we could try as much as we could here are some of the pictures of our yummy meals!

King cake ice cream!

Lost Bread- A true New Orleans favorite, the Creole version of French toast. Our po-boy bread dipped in our own special batter, grilled and served with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and maple syrup.
Calla Cakes This recipe dates back to the mid 1800’s. A blend of sweet spices and long grain rice, formed into a ball and deep fried, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with creamy grits and maple syrup.

A new Orleans snow ball! Oh so good! Much better than a snow cone! The condensed milk makes it so good!

Our Cooking Class, this was very fun! $53.00 for 2 (After coupon) We had the class, and lots of food included in the price.

Homemade Biscuits
Our instructor Michael showing us how to make soup.

Corn and Crab bisque!
Abita beer, not a fan of beer. But the others liked it.
Shrimp Creole
Pineapple and coconut bread pudding

Our breakfast at Cafe Du Monde

Our Beignets

Lunch at the Acme Oyster House

Jambalaya
Boo Fries
Turkey po-boy

Overall, everything was delicious! I never have complaints about food in New Orleans. And we walked so so much we must have walked off all of the calories!  Ok maybe that is not true? Well that sounds good right?
