Alexia Sweet Potato Puffs - Review (and a giveaway)

My family was so lucky to be able to try the Alexia Sweet Potato Puffs.  They loved them! More below…..

About Alexia (from the website)

We love food as much as you. That's why we make it exactly how you would: all-natural, gourmet-inspired, and absolutely delicious.

OUR BEGINNINGS: At Alexia, our creativity and passion for the highest quality side dishes runs deep in our roots. As a Manhattan chef, Alex always wondered why there weren't quality side dishes that achieved the same discerning standard as the main entrée. He knew others would agree, and believed he could create distinctive and inspired convenient everyday side dishes that lived up to what he might create in his own Greenpoint kitchen.

Alex started by hand selecting the finest all-natural ingredients and producing only small batches making Alexia a hard to find favorite. Whether seasoning his Beauregard Sweets and Yukon Gold Potatoes or baking the perfect artisan Ciabatta and Focaccia breads, Alex always used real ingredients and put quality and taste first.

Crispy outside. Soft inside. Sweet all around. It’s the next deliciously logical step for the great sweet potato.

My Review:

So you may ask, What is a sweet potato puff? Well I would say it is like a sweet potato version of a tater tot. They have the shape of a tater tot, but the sweetness of a sweet potato. My daughter was so excited when the bag of Alexia sweet potato puffs arrived. My daughter is a huge sweet potato fan. I cooked them for my husband and my daughter for dinner (the bag was a nice size and we could get at least two meal side dishes out of it), I must tell you my husband is not a fan of sweet potatoes, at all not even the sweet potato fries are something he likes.

But he liked the Alexia sweet potato puffs, he spiced them up with pepper, and really enjoyed them they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. He remarked about how he liked the sweetness of the puff with the contrast of the saltiness of the ketchup he used to dip the puffs in. I would purchase these again, my hubby and my daughter were fans and would love to have this again.  I will have to check out the other Alexia items in my supermarket as well, they have such a variety on the we site!
