Pravana Hair Care - Review (And a Giveaway)

About Pravana (from the website)

Pravana's Hair Care Collection is comprised of seven different categories to ensure that all hair types have the treatment they need.

Our shampoos and conditioners are infused with PRAVANA's proprietary Naturceutical ComplexTM, comprised of botanicals known for their therapeutic and healing properties, and teamed with three different hydrolyzed proteins to enhance hair's strength, elasticity and shine from the inside out.

All Pravana Shampoos are sulfate, sulfite and paraben-free. All Pravana hair care formulas are also free of cocamide DEA and MEA, and contain no phthalates or other hazardous ingredients. We employ no animal testing.

My Review:

My hair is strait and thin, there is not much to do with it, and I tend to put my hair up a lot. I have tried perms in the past, and they never last and just damage my hair. The only thing I really do to my hair to jazz it up is, dye it. I love to dye my hair. Yes I have tried all kinds of colors, whatever I am feeling like I go with. The problem I have is color tends to fade and lose its luster.

I was given the chance to  review a Shampoo and conditioner from Pravana Naturals. Of course I picked the Color Ensure Sulfate-Free Shampoo and the Color Ensure Conditioner.

My hair was blond for the summer (I had previously never been a blond, but I figured I would try it, why not you only live once) but now the summer is over; so no more blond. I went with a darker warmer shade for the fall, and with the color being new, I wanted to make sure it kept its rich color. With the Pravana Color Ensure Sulfate-Free Shampoo and the Color Ensure Conditioner.

Now on to how well this works? I was excited to try the shampoo and conditioner I used them the night they arrived. The shampoo was thick and not runny at all, I liked it very much.  When using the conditioner they recommend leaving it in your hair for one to two minutes, to really get the conditioning treatment. Both were easy to use, and worked well.  I loved the scent of the shampoo, it was a natural fresh scent. I have used color treating shampoo/conditioners before and they tend to have a chemically terrible smell.  It is refreshing to have a color treating set that has a great scent.

The Pravana duo left my hair soft and shiny. I was very impressed. I am able to leave my hair down more, and enjoy my new color and cut because my hair is smooth and shiny. Don't believe people when they say that the cheaper hair care products are just as good, that is not my experience. You get what you pay for and Pravana Naturceuticals offer quality first rate hair products.

The good people at Pravana Naturceuticals have offered three (3!) of my winners a chance to win a Color Treating Shampoo and Conditioner set of their own a $34 value.
