Holiday Gift Guide: Barista - Review

We are coffee lovers in our house. And I was so excited to find Barista. What is Barista, well coffee is not just for drinking more about Barista (from the webiste):

As three businesswomen with more than 50 years of combined experience in engineering, business development and consulting, we decided to take a purely business-like approach to a very personal issue.

From this endeavor barista bath and body sprang to life – a line of natural beauty products that are safe, effective and designed to complement the body’s natural capacities.

We researched hair – its basic chemistry and the factors that impact the health and appearance of hair – and defined a list of beneficial ingredients. One of the ingredients that met all our criteria was coffee.

Equipped with a list of attributes, performance criteria and preferred ingredients, we met with chemists, estheticians, and cosmetic laboratories to help us develop our product line. We tested countless formulations before we found the shampoo we all adored.

Instead of relying on harsh chemicals that strip your hair and skin of its inherent beauty, barista bath and body products contain brewed coffee, ground coffee, coffee seed oil, essential oils and natural ingredients that support the body’s ability to rejuvenate. Our formulations are free of parabens, phthalates and sulfates that disrupt the body’s natural capacities.

We believe in our products – we formulated them to make a difference. Great thought has also gone into our production footprint. We care about the world now and in the future – our products are manufactured in the U.S., all of our bottles are recyclable, our bags and boxes are made of natural materials, and our fill is bio-degradable.

Our “coffee in the raw” products – designed for both women and men – are performance-driven to bring the delight and bliss of coffee to the bath.

 My Review:

We love coffee, all kinds with milk, black, coffee ice cream, yogurt.. You get the idea, we love the flavor of coffee in just about anything. So when I had the chance to do a review of coffee scented/infused products from Barista bath and body products I got so excited. This was going to be a great review!

I received One Lump or Two body scrub, Perk it up energizing shampoo, and the make mine black soap.

When the package arrived, it was nicely wrapped. I was eager to get a chance to smell the products, and I have to say I am not disappointed in the strong coffee smell the products have. I love that they do not have a chemical smell, and smell just like the real thing. What a way to wake up in the morning! The smell of the Perk it up shampoo was amazingly  great! It almost makes your mouth water! It wakes you up that’s for sure.  Well how well it the shampoo work? Well I have to say it worked well. My hair was clean and bouncy, it looked and smelled great.

The One Lump or Two body scrub left my skin smooth and exfoliated  and feeling new. This was my favorite item, I loved how well it worked.

The make mine black bar soap was also a favorite, my daughters favorite.  When the soap arrived, I had to use it right away so I put it in the kitchen to use. The coffee grounds were a natural way to exfoliate  and the soap left my hands soft the soap is handcrafted and made with care.  You have to buy this soap, the organic ground coffee and natural oils does wonders for your skin.   My daughter loved it, saying “I love coffee… (She is so funny , she is  six and can’t drink coffee) it smells good”!

Barista, is a great company that makes wonderful coffee inspired bath products and I love that their products are made in the USA!
