Holiday Gift Guide: Buddha Board - Review (And a Giveaway)

About the Buddha Board (from the website)

Buddha Board is based on the Zen concept of living in the moment. You simply paint on the surface with water and your creation will come to life in bold design. Then, as the water slowly evaporates, your art will magically disappear leaving you with a clean slate and clear mind - ready to create a whole new masterpiece.

My Review:

One of the things I absolutely love to do while down in Disney World is to take a long slow stroll around the Mitsukoshi department store. I love it there, they have everything from soup to nuts really and one of the things that always has a crowd around it with a line waiting to play with it is the Buddha Board (http://www.buddhaboard.com.)

The Buddha Board is a very clever and fun to play with and lets you live in the moment. Moments change often and the Buddha Board will allow you to change your art work as soon as the water evaporates off the board. We were lucky enough to have a Buddha Board sent to us and my husband and daughter were really excited about it, my husband asked if they were able to pack the drum and a girl who bangs on it when they get a pearl from the oyster. He’ll just have to make do with our daughter banging on everything that’s within her sight.

It’s a simple way to have a good time and it doesn’t require many items to make it work just some water is all you need. Paint what you like and a few minutes later it dries goes away and you can paint a new masterpiece. It’s soothing to just sit there and paint, I’m not an artist by any stretch of the imagination but I still have loads of fun painting on the board.

It’s soothing and instantly puts me right in the middle of Mitsukoshi (in my mind at least.) The Buddha Board is simple but it’s amazing in its simplicity, you start painting and the next thing you know you’re not thinking about anything, you’re able to relax and just pass the time. And just like Mitsukoshi there is a line in our house to use the Buddha Board, the only difference is there’s no Test Track here.
