Holiday Gift Guide: Glow Crazy Distance Doodler Review (And a Giveaway)

Do you know a little artist, that would love a new and fun way of drawing for the holidays? Well I would love to introduce you to the  Glow Crazy Distance Doodler:

About the Glow Crazy Distance Doodler (from the website)

Remember when mom and dad went through the roof if you wrote on the walls with crayons or markers? But, wouldn’t it have been awesome to reach the ceiling and create your masterpieces there, too?

Now you can, with GlowCrazy, the hottest new glow-in-the-dark art set that lets kids (and adults, too!) draw from a distance and explore their creativity on any flat surface with no damage and no trouble from mom and dad.

Unlike other glow toys, the special GlowCrazy Distance Doodler Magic Lightwand works from more than 10 feet away. The dual-action glow-beam generator features an adjustable beam that makes it easy to draw and write with skinny lines, or make your magic with wide paths of light, perfect for creating silhouettes and other exciting designs. Jumbo removable peel-and-stick wall clings can be placed on the wall, the ceiling or any other flat surface, and removed quickly and easily, with no damage and no sticky residue.

 My Review:

My daughter loves to draw, she draws as much as she can. When a big box comes in the mail, I know what I will hear after I open the box… Can I have this to draw on? She is growing up to be quite the artist.  She was so excited when she found out that we were going to be able to test a GlowCrazy Distance Doodler. With Glow Crazy you can draw with light! It is such a unique idea, and it does not make a mess.

While I was growing up I remember my little brother writing on the walls with permanent marker, oh that was something. He was in so much trouble! I remember my parents trying to get the mess off of the wall. It did not end well, and the wall had to be repainted.  Ugh.. After going through this as a child I always stressed how important is was to never draw on the walls!  But the GlowCrazy Distance Doodler it is not like that at all, you “draw” with your wand and it does not mess up the walls! So yes my daughter is allowed to “draw” on the walls, without harming the walls.

I saw a cool idea on the site of how to use the Glow Crazy.. We put the sheets above my daughters bed so she could draw before bedtime. My daughter is a bit of a scardy cat of the dark … (yes she still has a nightlight) What a great idea! My daughter  can entertain herself before going to sleep, and have a light in the dark!  Just having fun drawing with her light wand.

I tried to get some pictures of my daughter with the glow crazy kit. But the kit works well when it is pretty dark, and my camera was just not taking the best pictures in the dark. But you have to check out what the kit looks like in the dark, take a look at this video, you will see how cool this kit really is:

The kit comes with four large sticky sheets, that can stick to walls, doors and just about anywhere. And I know you are asking, will this take of the paint on the walls? Well no, it does not. That is great! And can you stick and unstick over and over.. Yes! I loved how easy it was to stick this on the walls and play over and over.  What a great way to get a child’s imagination revved up and what a great way to draw. This is not a boring old coloring book that is for sure.

I would recommend the GlowCrazy Distance Doodler for any child that loves to draw. The kit will be great for all kids, who would not love “drawing” with a wand? It is really fun for all!
