Holiday Gift Guide: My Pal Dolls - Review (And a Giveaway)

Are you looking for a gift for that special little someone on your holidays gift list this year? I would like to introduce you to My Pal Dolls. A company that makes gorgeous quality dolls and gives to those in need.  My Pal Dolls will make great gifts this holiday season.

LorettaRose, LLC, a family-owned company, was established to produce my Sibling® dolls, and to advocate for lifelong services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The company recognizes that there are very few employment options available to teens and adults with special needs. To help bridge this gap, LorettaRose, LLC offers these individuals, through the My Sibling/My Pal Work Experience Program™, an opportunity to participate in the assembly and packaging of its products.
My Sibling® dolls and their associated booklets will help children understand others who learn and grow differently than they do. Please read more about our stories that depict everyday situations in the lives of children who have siblings with disabilities.
The My Sibling/My Pal Work Experience Program™ provides work opportunities for teens and adults with disabilities: dressing, accessorizing, packaging, labeling of dolls; packaging, labeling and assembly of our other products, such as autism awareness items. We have developed relationships with public and private schools and adult programs who want real job experiences for their students and adult workers.

I was lucky enough to be able to review the My Pal for Christmas doll

My Review:

When I look for gifts during the holiday season, I love to purchase items that give back to the community in some way. Because that is what the holiday season means to me. Giving gifts and giving back. My family collects toys for toy drives. And food for food drives. It makes us feel good. (we collect food year long, but really amp it up during the holidays) . So when my daughter heard she was getting a My Pal Doll to review she was so happy. She loves the larger 18” dolls. Her new thing is dressing and undressing dolls, and the bigger dolls are easier for her to dress.

When the doll arrived, it was packed very well. (the tape use to close the brown shipping box was festive, I have never seen that before. So if you are ordering this for a special someone and are having it mailed to their house the box is ready for gift giving) After opening the doll was just so precious in person.

I love the holiday dress the doll is wearing, it is well made, and a quality item. The doll is also wearing slippers that are so cute.   The My Pal for Christmas doll comes with a FREE “Stocking Stuffer” Bear. My daughter loved that the doll had brown hair and brown eyes like she has.

My Pal for Christmas is available in both a boy and a girl doll. Each doll measures 18″ tall  you choose the hair color, eye color, and skin color. The boy comes dressed in red flannel pajamas, flannel slippers, and a red fleece “Santa” type floppy hat with white trim. He looks like he is ready to come down the stairs and see what Santa has brought to the house. The girl dolls come dressed in a Christmas print jumper/dress (the colors and prints of the jumper may vary, due to availability of fabric), white shirt, flannel slippers, and a hair ribbon.  Each of the dolls come with a 8-page booklet.

The book contains children the lyrics of Christmas carols “Away in a Manger,” “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing,” “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” and “What Child is This?” In the booklet there is a place for children to write about their own thoughts on how they “Keep Christ in Christmas,”  for us this is very important. So I love that my daughter can express in this book how important this is. The doll clothing and booklet are both Made in the USA.The dolls come without a box, so there is less waste, but they do offer very cute denim bags that will be a great way to give the doll for $8.00

This little doll is quickly becoming my daughters “best friend” (of course she has real little friends from the neighborhood/ school) she totes her everywhere! She has been playing with this little doll non-stop. Playing school with her, having a picnic, and pushing her through the house in a stroller.  She just can’t wait to show her little cousin her My Pal Doll at thanksgiving dinner in a few days. I am sure they will have a great time playing together with the adorable doll.

Close up op of the pretty dress :)

I will have to see how much my niece likes the doll. I am sure she will love it. Perhaps I could get a doll for her this holiday. She will love having a blond hair blue eyed doll that looks like her. Mmm I will have to put this on my list!
Here is my daughter in her pal, sleeping peacefully together :)
With the holidays right around the corner, why not brighten a little child’s day with a My Pal doll.  You will get a great affordable doll for that special boy or girl, and you will feel good about buying the doll and giving a needed job to a teen or adult with special needs with the My Sibling/My Pal Work Experience Program™. It will just give you a real holiday warm and special feeling.  And if you would like a doll to give that is made in the USA. There are also many other My Pal dolls, such as My Pal for Baseball, My Pal for Peace, My Pal the Patriot  and many more. My Pal Dolls are the perfect gift for that little someone.

I learned that their focus is on raising children's social consciousness about caring for their peers and environment. We educate the public about the need for more services for teens and adults with developmental differences, and we provide work experiences and training to these individuals.
