Holiday Gift Guide: SPIbelt - Review (and a giveaway)

I would like to introduce you to the SPIbelt (Small Personal Item Belt)

A little about the SPIbelt from the website:

The Beginning: No doubt we are the original small personal item belt (SPIbelt). I invented the SPIbelt fall of 2006, filed the patent shortly after, and incorporated 2007.

How: Founder, Kim Overton, was out on a run one day, keys tucked into her bra top, and thought, "there's gotta be a better way!". She went home that night and sewed the very first ever SPIbelt. Year one the company operated out of her apartment and eventually moved into a warehouse where the manufacturing continues.
Don't be fooled by imitators - just look for the SPIbelt™ label inside the belt for authenticity. We are the creators of the Original Small Personal Item Belt™, etc. 2007.

Sleek, expandable, secure and does not bounce. Can hold an iPod™, Blackberry™, cell, keys, up to five GU™ packs, and other small personal items. The SPIbelt does not bounce, ride or shift while running or doing other activities. Made in the USA

My Review:

I’m a subway rider; I take it every morning into work and every night coming home. The Philly subways aren’t the most pleasant rides or the safest but it’s my only option. I try keep things to a minimum, I try to make sure I just blend in and not stand out to make myself a target for a purse snatcher. I think I just discovered the perfect foil to stump those snatch and grabbers.

The Spibelt (http://www.spibelt.com/) is a small bag you wear around your mid-section; it lies flat against your stomach and is really inconspicuous. It’s perfect for me; I can carry cash and my id in it and not have to worry about carrying a handbag, like I said I like to blend in. But aside from being a foil to would be thieves it also works well for those who like to run. Most running shorts aren’t exactly roomy they lack pockets for the most part; the Spibelt is the answer for those of you who like to work out and need something to hold a few necessary items in.

It’s a well-made bag and doesn’t feel cumbersome when you’re wearing it. And if you plan on wearing it like me (under your shirt) it lies flat against you so it keeps a very low profile. This isn’t a belly bag; you won’t feel like a throwback to the 80’s when wearing a Spibelt, its sleek design and wide variety of colors will keep you contemporary and it will keep your items safe

The holiday season is right around the corner, and if you are looking for a great stocking stuffer for a runner, or a traveler. A SPIbelt would make a great gift!
