More Disney World antics! We did more than eat :)

Boy was it hot! Look at the haze in the picture below!~

We didn’t just eat we did tour the parks; the crowds were pretty good we didn’t wait in very many lines and the lines that were there weren’t very long. Late August is a nice time to go, it was hot and humid and we had a biblical storm almost every day but the crowds were very nice. We made the mad dash for the Toy Story Mania fast pass line experience, that’s really nuts and something needs to be done to make it less crazy. In general we did every ride we had set out to do, some a few more times than others like Star Tours we rode 3 times my husband is hell bent on seeing Boba Fett and between the 3 times we did it in Disneyland and the 3 times we did it at the Studios no Boba Fett.

We did see Storm Troopers in the wild, something we didn’t think we’d see outside of Star Wars Weekends, we made sure to get a picture with one of them because they are rather rare. When getting the picture taken my husband told my daughter to smile or the Storm Trooper would get mad and his laser isn’t set to stun the Storm Trooper played along and nodded, she smiled a real smile; we only get those when she’s really happy. My husband turned her into a Star Wars geek… Help me!
When we hit the Magic Kingdom at rope drop and they went through the opening of the park ceremony we made our way down Main Street and my husband turned and said to me people ask why we keep coming back so often and I tell them this and he looked around the hub and said this never gets old. We have as much fun on each trip if not more than the prior trip, there is always something new to do, see or eat. It doesn’t get stale and now seeing it through our daughter’s eyes makes it that much more fun, even though she’s now all of a sudden developed a fear of Test Track.

The height as she likes to call it, she hates drops and the drop you hit when you hit the outside portion of the ride freaks her out all of a sudden. I can’t wait to see her reaction once we finally convince her to ride Splash Mountain!

All in all we had a great time, and like I said we take our time, heck on our last day we went to Epcot for lunch at Le’Cellier and didn’t do a single attraction! We just walked around and soaked up the ambiance and had a good time just being together as a family. Now starts the planning for next year, June for Star Wars weekend is a lock, my husband really enjoyed it last year and was bummed he couldn’t go this year. And probably another trip possibly August again because of crowd levels and Star Wars Celebration VI is back in Orlando and my geek er husband wants to go to that as well, I told you he was Star Wars geek!
