I’m going to let my husband handle this one… When the word Sucrets (http://www.sucrets.com/) is uttered around me it makes me smile. Why smile? It’s an odd story really. It was about 15 years ago I was working at my first real job at a video game store and I was slowly getting sicker and sicker and I needed to get something to make my throat feel better. I needed Sucrets; I’ve always looked for Sucrets when I feel sick, I’ve been using them for as long as I can remember my mother would give them to me and if they meet my mother’s standards then they’re good enough for me.
I took a break and walked over to a supermarket to pick up a box of Sucrets, I’m in the cough and cold aisle and I find Sucrets, I noticed a flavor I had never seen before black cherry and I was intrigued. I picked up the box and realized it was missing its wrapping someone had opened it and took a few for themselves, I put the box back on the shelf grabbed an unopened box turned around and BAM! the supermarket security was on me, he looked at me and said follow me. I was confused but figured I didn’t do anything wrong I’ll just go and not cause trouble.
I was brought into supermarket jail, it was a room with 10 TVs that was barely big enough to hold one normal sized human there were two of us in there and it was cramped. I was told I was seen opening the package and taking lozenges out, I didn’t and I had a witness with me to back me up. Long story short was the rent a cop was clueless; I had a package of unopened Sucrets in my hand and asked why would I steal lozenges and also buy a box of them? Isn’t that counterproductive? He let me go, giving me a warning to which I sarcastically retorted I’ll be sure to be careful when purchasing items since you don’t know the difference between buying and stealing.
I went back to work forty five minutes late and had a whopper of a story to tell, and if I didn’t have a witness no one would have believed I had been detained for shopping! It was worth it; I had my black cherry Sucrets and was feeling better. I still use Sucrets, I will always use Sucrets and I have a great Sucrets story that makes me chuckle when I think about it. If you’re feeling bad, and need something to soothe a sore throat get Sucrets, they work and they taste good. And to this day still have one of the coolest packages for lozenges around; there is something about those tins that just screams cool packaging. But make sure you pay for them, supermarket jail is rough….I saw things there that to this day I still can’t shake….
In all seriousness, Sucrets have always helped when I needed help, and I recommend them.
