Honeyville Mixes and Cocoa

Being a working mother, sometimes it is hard to make things from scratch. And yes making boxed items are usually easier. But some are just no good. But I have found a company with some great boxed goods. Honeyville, here is a little information about Honeyville from the website:

Since 1951, Honeyville Farms has been an innovator and leader in the food industry taking Nature’s Best and Sealing it Fresh! We have worked with some of the largest manufacturers and retailers in America and take pride in our products. But what has made us great, is recognizing the individual. Through the years, we have always kept our doors open to the local community. If your need was a single bag of Hard Red Wheat, you could stop in and get what you wanted.

Inside each store you will find our full line of Honeyville Farms products including Food Storage, Emergency Supplies and Baking Ingredients; all ready to view and pull directly from our store shelves. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is available to help you answer questions, try samples and pull orders. You get the same direct-from-the-manufacturer, wholesale pricing without paying club store membership fees. We are always adding new products and trying new ideas, so stop in and see us at Honeyville Farms!

I was fortunate to try some products from the Honeyville line, including:

Hot Cocoa mix $3.99
Irish Cream Hot Cocoa mix $3.99
Marshmallow Motherlode Hot Cocoa Mix $3.99

Buttermilk Pancake Mix $3.79
Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix $3.59
Cinnamon Crumb Cake Mix $3.79

My Review:

I am always on the move, it is just how my life is. I love my busy life, and I would not change it for anything.  But being busy all the time comes with not being able to make everything from scratch. Yes I use mixes at times, but when I use mixes I want to make sure what I serve my family is a quality product.

We just love hot chocolate in our family, I just use my Keurig (without a pod) to instantly boil just the right amount of hot water to make hot chocolate. Of course we just had to try the Marshmallow Motherlode Hot Cocoa Mix first. And I have to say this is not an exaggeration, that thing is full of marshmallows. Now I know why my daughter wanted to try that first. I loved that there were a bunch of marshmallows,  and my daughter just adored this. And asked for seconds.

My favorite was the Irish Cream Hot Cocoa mix it had a sweet and unique chocolate flavor. I really liked the taste, it reminded me of a coffee, very delicious.

The regular hot cocoa was also very tasty.
I love the large sizes of the mix, you just can’t beat the price for the large amount you get. And it is only $3.99? Really, yes really. It is a great deal.

I will simply have to pick up a container of the Honeyville Mexican hot chocolate, I just adore the chocolate and cinnamon flavor of Mexican hot chocolate. And I am sure that the Honeyville Mexican Hot Chocolate mix is delicious!

We were also very fortunate to be able to try some of the awesome mixes. Buttermilk Pancake Mix, this was an easy breakfast for me to make. My daughter and my husband loved the pancakes.  My daughter said they were “yummy”.

Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix, with this mix I made muffins for the office. My co-workers devoured them.  I got to taste a little bit, but from what I had, it was moist and delicious. The blueberry flavor really shone through.

Cinnamon Crumb Cake Mix, I have not made this yet… I know, I know my husband goes nuts over cinnamon. He wants to save it to make for me for  valentine’s day.  Well ok? If he wants to make it, I am not stopping him. I am sure it will be good.

So I would recommend Honeyville mixes and hot chocolates. They are very good, and taste like they cost $$$. Why not pick some of these delicious items up? They would be great for a get tighter or just a satay at home Saturday just sitting in with the family.

So if you are looking for just about any food product, from dairy to freeze dried meats. Make sure you check out Honeyville, you will not be disappointed.
