Morphology Game – Review (And a Giveaway)

Does your family just love games like our family? We just love to get together and play a great game. And I have a wonderful game to introduce you to Morphology.  Here is a little more information about Morphology from the site:

Do you like Pictionary or Cranium? Morphology is for you!

How do you play? In Morphology "Morphologists" BUILD words for their teammates to guess. Morphology comes with 50 pieces to use to build (a string, wooden people, glass beads, etc.). And then the fun begins-the board challenges you to build with your eyes closed, or using the string only. Its a hilarious way to spend time with your family and friends!

Morphology was invented by Kate Ryan Reiling during a Minnesota snowstorm. After tweaking the concept for years with hundreds of people helping her refine Morphology, she decided to publish the game and bring a creative twist to the toy industry!

I was very fortunate to be able to review a Morphology game.

My Review:

We just love to play games as a family. Big get togethers and family game nights are the usual fair in our house. There is nothing like getting everyone together, having a pot luck dinner and then playing some fun games together. It is a great chance to say good bye to technology for a while. Now don’t get me wrong I love technology, I just have to be with my phone at all times and TV is a great thing. But it is nice to get back to basics sometimes, and we had a chance to have one of our family get togethers this past weekend.  And I could not wait to play Morphology.

The rules seemed simple enough BUILD words for you  teammates to guess. Morphology comes with 50 pieces to use to build (a string, wooden people, glass beads, etc.). There are board challenges you to build with your eyes closed! Yes eyes closed. That is what makes it so much fun., just time to be silly. On Saturday, my parents and my brother came over for the family game night.  And we had a blast playing this game and laughing at each other.

My daughter wanted to play this game so bad, but it was a little tough for her. She is only seven, but when she teamed up with me she was able to play with us and have a great time. I had a lot of fun, and the most difficult item to use to spell the words was the string, you would think that would be easy right? I had such trouble! But it was fun trouble : )

This is a wonderful award winning game, Morphology Games launched in 2009, selling out its original units and in . And in 2010 at the New York Toy Fair it received two “Top New Toys of 2010”. In  2010, Morphology was selected as TIME’s Top Ten Toys list as the Number 2 Toy of the Year.
That is pretty impressive, they must be doing something right. Yes they are doing something right, they are making a unique game that is so much fun to play. And with all of the games out there it is nice to see a game that is family friendly and it a new unique game.

The game includes 480 cards, 50 pieces of material, a timer, a die and team pieces.  The cost is about $30. So for a great time and having fun with the family $30 is a great deal!

The great folks at Morphology games are offering one of Susan’s Disney Family readers a chance to win a Morphology game of their own! Would you like to win, oh of course you would!
