Building My Dream Home

Guest post from: Jerald Hammond

When the construction began on my dream home on a beautiful piece of property in the mountainous
countryside of the north Georgia mountains, one of my first concerns was television options. I
searched to look at packages and was pleased that my neck of the woods
could be accommodated. This home is going to be so fabulous! The style is Tuscan/Mediterranean.
I love arches and beautiful tile and outdoor rooms. When my outdoor kitchen and den are complete,
I swear I will want to live out there. My property is fairly high in elevation, surrounded by mountains,
but flat at the house site, perfect for the sprawling layout that is a U shape with arched columns and
tiled flooring all the way around the inside of the U. In the center is a gorgeous pool. I searched house
plans and toured homes in many cities for months before I met with my architect. I have kept notes of
what I want in my dream home for years so nothing will be left undone. I am so excited to finally have
the opportunity to build it. I cannot wait to move in!
