Are you an avid Aldi shopper like I am? It is a great place to shop, but did you know
that you could save up to 50% on your needed summer essentials? And Aldi had it
all from milk to picnic tables! Whatever you need for your summer event that
have it, for less!
We were very fortunate to try some of the great items that
are available at Aldi,
Choceur Milk Chocolate bar: $1.49
Benton’s Graham Crackers- $1.49
Baker’s Corner Marshmallows - $.99
Now to be able to make smores for the whole family and many
friends for only $3.97? That is amazing! While on vacation in Disney World we purchased
a single serve smores snack for $4.95 and that was for one person!
The smores were tasty and every one loved them! Look how delicious they looked:
If you
really love to get your money’s worth, make sure to check out a local Aldi’s
this summer!
We were also able to try out some patriotic sprinkles $2.99
value. This will be great for our July 4th desserts. And the $2.99
price tag is a great bargain. Similar sprinkles are sold in my local
supermarket for $5+. So make sure to shop for savings at Aldi.

Pineapple salsa and jack cheese take you out of the
ordinary, just like a well-deserved vacation!
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored and diced
- 1/2 green pepper, cored and diced
- 1/4 onion, diced
- 2 tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp. lime juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 lb. All Natural 80% Lean Ground Beef
- 1/2 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Stonemill Essentials Onion Powder
- 8 slices Mama Cozzi's Garlic Texas Toast
- 2 cups Little Salad Bar Butter Lettuce leaves
- 4 slices Happy Farms Deli Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese*
- 1 avocado, sliced
Directions:
- For the pineapple salsa, mix the pineapple, green pepper, onion and cilantro. Add lime juice and salt to taste and toss mixture. Set aside.
- Mix ground beef, salt, black pepper, and onion powder thoroughly and form mixture into 4 equal oblong patties (in the shape of the Garlic Texas Toast, as this will serve as your bun). Set aside.
- Heat grill to a medium temperature. Grill burger patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until desired doneness (the internal temperature reaches 145°F for a medium burger). Meanwhile, toast or bake garlic bread according to package instructions.
- To assemble burger, layer the garlic toast with 1/4 cup butter lettuce leaves, 1 burger patty, 1 slice of Pepper Jack cheese, 1/4 of the pineapple salsa, 1/4 of the avocado slices and top with garlic toast.
Doesn’t that burger just scream summer! That would be a
great addition to our next cook out. Are
you coming? It is going to be great!
