Back to Nature Mac and Cheese Taste Test Challenge (And a Giveaway) #BackToNatureMac

Are you looking for a great tasting mac and cheese that you can feel god about giving to your family? Well I would like to introduce you all to Back to Nature a company that strives to have a healthier product without artificial flavors and preservatives, here is a little more information about the company from the website:

California—1960. A small health food store creates a delicious, naturally low–fat granola—our first product. Becoming very popular in health food stores across the state, people begin asking for other products made with simple, wholesome ingredients. Our response? Develop delicious cereals, crackers, nuts and cookies that make eating a pleasure—every day.

While the business has grown, our mission has never changed: Give people truly flavorful, wholesome foods made with simple ingredients. We are passionate about creating foods with real nutrition and the delicious tastes and flavors of nature without artificial flavors or preservatives, hydrogenated oils, or high fructose corn syrup. It is our commitment and philosophy to you—and the world.

My daughter could live on macaroni and cheese if we let her, she just loves it and has since she was very little. I have to admit, it is one of my favorite sites and could make it a meal from time to time. So when I was contacted by Back to Nature to do an in home macaroni and cheese taste test, I was so excited this was right up our alley. I have never done a side by side taste test before, it was a neat idea I could not wait to try it.

For this challenge I received a box of Back to Nature Organic Shells and Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese, and a box of Back to Nature NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese, A  box of a leading competitor’s brand of Organic Shells and a  box of a leading competitor’s brand of Shapes Pasta.

I was able to try Back to Nature NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese Vs. their competitors macaroni and cheese, both are natural products but would they taste the same? Hmm?

I cooked up both of the macaroni’s and cheese brands, both had basically the same cooking instructions pretty basic and simple stuff milk, margarine etc..

So guess what we are having for dinner! A blind taste test of the 2 brands. I figured it would be more fun to not tell my family and just make sure they try each of the brands to get their true reactions. After the leading competitors mac and cheese was finished cooking, I had such issues getting the cheese to blend in with the macaroni. There were dark orange “cheese dust” chunks all throughout the macaroni. I stirred and stirred, and it never blended correctly. That was  not a good start to this competition…
Here is the Back to Nature mac and cheese

Well now it is time for the tasting, The NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni had a great real cheese taste. Honestly there was a difference in the taste of the NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni it tasted like real creamy cheese delicious. The competitors was ok, like I said it was not blended well no matter how hard I tried.

My family raved over the Back to Nature mac and cheese, they loved the real taste, and my daughter just loved the little bugs and butterfly’s. The competitor’s mac and cheese was eaten but not raved over, it was just so so.
Here is the competitors mac and cheese, see the chunks.. ick!
But why buy so so, when you can get something that is great? Well my family is converted, it will only be Back to Nature mac and cheese for us for now on.

I was also able to share a set with my neighbors to let them to their own taste test, and their results were very similar to mine, they loved the Back to Nature mac and  cheese.  So if you are looking for delicious creamy mac and cheese I would highly recommend Back to Nature.
