Caravoo Mirror Wristband – Review and Giveaway

Have you ever wondered what that child in your back carrier is doing? I know I have wondered this many times, now there is this handy new mirror that helps you do just that, I would like to introduce you all to the Caravoo Mirror Wristband, here is a little more information about Caravoo from the website:

Ever wondered how your baby is doing in the Baby Bjorn? This slapband-style wrist mirror is the perfect way to see your baby’s face and to give comforting visual contact to both parent and child. It also works perfectly for other front-facing and backpack-style child carriers.

Super lightweight (less than an ounce) and attaches quickly and easily to your wrist or arm. You won’t even notice you’re
e wearing it (except when you’re no longer straining to see what’s happening while your baby is secured in the carrier or backpack). Great as a newborn or baby shower gift.

New parents quickly learn they can always use extra hands--and sometimes eyes in the back of their heads--to safely and lovingly care for baby. Once baby moves into a carrier, slip or wrap (favorites of attachment parenting devotees) moms and dads can feel baby but can't see if he's happy, sleepy or about to be fussy. An ingenious and inexpensive solution is the Caravoo slap-band style wrist mirror.

"Here's to the occasional spat," laughs Caravoo inventor and new dad Mark Maziarz. When his daughter arrived, he and his wife Mary Beth began nightly family strolls around their home forest trails. The baby would be snuggled in a front-facing carrier worn by dad. As baby changed from alert to sleepy, Mark would ask his wife what the baby was doing. Once or twice or 10 times the conversation would be the same, every night! In exasperation Mary Beth strongly suggested to her husband that he put something on his wrist so he could see his daughter. And that's how Caravoo was born.

Made from bonded leather and hand assembled in the U.S., this lightweight wrist band takes just seconds to slip (actually lightly slap) on. The mirror attaches easily to wrist or arm. Choose from five colors -- black, brown, white and of course pink or baby blue. The novel wrist mirror is making its debut for a reduced price of $13.95, including free shipping, at www.caravoo.com.

I was very fortunate to be able to check out a couple of the wristbands, this is such a novel idea. The mirror is on a easy to wear slap band, remember those from the 80’s and 90’s (oh goodness I am dating myself….) I had a bunch of the slap bracelets, they were fun to slap, and fun to wear.  Now Caravoo has come up with a great way to us a slap bracelet. The great bracelets, are better made than the cheap plastic bracelets I remember from my youth. They are attractive and comfortable. They come in an assortment of colors and are just a great idea.  The mirror is a nice size, and even with my bad eyes I did not have any issues seeing behind me.
My little niece just loved seeing herself in the mirror, and I loved being able to see her.

If you are looking for a gift for a baby shower, or just a gift for yourself seeing your little one while they are on your back… the Caravoo really saves your neck, no more neck pain trying to strain to see the child that is in the carrier on your back thanks to Caravoo. A great gift idea!
