I was very fortunate to be able to try an assortment of shortbread cookies from Flathau's.

Now I know what some of you may be thinking short bread cookie are so dry! Well I would agree with you there, they can be very dry, and a dry cookie is just not my thing. But the cookies from Flathau's and Maddy's Sweet Shop well they are like nothing you have ever had before.

First up was the All Natural Shortbread cookies, these cookies were shortbread cookies that were covered in sugar. Oh my goodness, they were by far the BEST shortbread cookies I have ever had in my life! They were not dry in the least. They were flavorful, buttery and sweet. Don’t worry they are not overly sweet, they have just the right amount of sweetness. A divine cookie. I had to put them away and hide them, I would have eaten the whole bag, yes they were that good.

Flathau's gourmet cookie sampler, these cookies are a sampling of a great invention candy and cookies what can be better. Now there is not a brick of candy in each cookie, there is a subtle amount of crunch candy in each. The candy is just noticeable, and makes the cookies stand out.  This sampler has four 4oz packs of cookies. Key Lime, Peppermint, Raspberry and Cinnamon. I was able to share this pack with my friends and family, well not the cinnamon pack as soon as this arrived my husband claimed this as his.

My in-laws loved the Peppermint, saying it reminded them of Christmas. They loved that the peppermint flavor was not overwhelming, just a nice peppermint note of flavor.  My parents tried the raspberry, my father said he would have liked a little more flavoring but he liked it. My mom raved about the cookies and they were gone very fast. And my husband was in charge of the cinnamon, but he let me try one (nice guy!) and there was a nice cinnamon taste, I loved it but my husband polished off the bag, oh my! I will have to order more to try another.

Maddy'sSweet Shop – Raspberry Lil Maddie’s. If you are a berry lover this is the treat for you. There is such a nice Raspberry favor, of course these were my daughters favorites. And the fact that they had a pinkish tint may have confirmed her love of these cookies, she just loves pink and raspberries so of course she loved this.

Look at how yummy these cookies look up close, why not try some?

Maddy's Sweet Shop Key Lime Lil Maddie’s, this was my favorite flavor. When I am on vacation in Florida (which seems to be where we end up a lot) I love to treat myself with a slice of key lime pie. There is nothing like it, cool sweet and limey! Mmm just think about it and I feel like I am on vacation again. Could a cookie taste like my favorite pie? I was hoping so….

These cookies have a strong key lime favor, well they should the pie is generally very strong so the cookies are like the pie sweet with a great cook and tart lime flavor.  Wow I felt like I was in Florida on vacation, these cookies really were wonderful. Delicious and sweet with a bit of a crunch. Amazing, I am a fan for life!

My husband simply must try the butterscotch cookies, as you all may know my husband is a cinnamon fanatic, but butterscotch is right up there as some of his favorite flavors.

This great company’s sweets were featured on the great Food Network show, Unwrapped. Who doesn’t love seeing how their favorite treats are made? I know I love the show and I remember seeing Flathau's on the show! If you did not get the chance to see it, make sure to watch this clip:

They also offer free shipping on any order over $50.00 and gift wrap is also an option. So if you are looking for a great gift idea, or if you love sweet unique treats, well it does not get much better than Flathau's and Maddy's Sweet Shop great treats.
