So the summer is over and kids are back in school. Well this does not mean I don’t get to hear, “mom I’m bored!” at least one time a day. Just because my daughter is back to school when she gets home and after her homework is finished she is ready to be entertained. But what to do? What we love to do is watch movies as a family.

Did you know that Blockbuster has a great program called Camp Blockbuster here is a little more information about the program from the website:

“Camp Blockbuster is offering families a new and creative form of entertainment during the fall/winter months and getting ready for the holidays. The Camp Blockbuster Kids Pass is for use in-store and allows for 1 movie rental at a time from the kids section (valued at $.99) at a monthly charge of $4.99 – it’s a great convenience – you never have to worry about late fees. This new Kids Pass offering is also available in 1 month, 6 month and 1 year gift cards making for the PERFECT holiday stocking stuffer or a simple way to bring cheer to kids year around!”

Blockbuster Kids Pass
  • Just $4.99* per month
  • Unlimited in-store rentals of all 99¢ Kids & Family movies and games
  • 1 rental at a time
  • No due dates for rentals on your pass
  • Also available in 1-month, 6-month and 1-year gift cards.

Blockbuster has been our go to movie rental place for many years.  When my husband and I were dating many years ago, many date nights were spent wandering the blockbuster store, trying to figure out what movie we both wanted to see.  So we are already big Blockbuster fans. When I found out about the great promotion Camp Blockbuster, I just loved the idea. For only $4.99 I can rent (or more likekly my daughter will be choosing the movies herself) classic kids movies that the whole family will love. With the holidays coming up, this will be a great opportunity to rent some Halloween movies and Christmas kids movies.

Camp Blockbuster is a boredom buster that is for sure, my daughter loves that she has a “card” that will let her rent a movie of her own. I love that there are no due dates for the rentals on the pass. Now that is a wonderful thing, as a working mother returning movies on time can sometimes be difficult, and not having to worry about late fees? That is great! My daughter loved the sampling of dvd’s we received family classics, Finding Nemo, Rio, Puss and Boots were all great movies! We just love to have family movie night with some candy and popcorn, and with the Camp Blockbuster pass, Blockbuster has just made family movie night more affordable and more fun!

So if you are looking for a great stocking stuffer idea, I would recommend getting a 1 month to 6 month Camp Blockbuster card for that special kid on your holiday gift list this year, they will love it!.

The generous folks at Blockbuster are giving three of Susan’s Disney Family readers a chance to win THREE winners will receive:
Camp Blockbuster Kids Pass prize pack each features a  backpack stuffed with a  sampling of the top DVDs currently featured in the kids and family section at Blockbuster
Delicious treats to enjoy while the family gathers around for movie time, and a  packet of kid’s activity sheets that includes a word search and coloring sheet.
Would you like to win? Please let me know a family friendly movie that you would love to rent at Blockbuster.  There are also other ways to enter. Please enter below.
