Holiday Gift Guide TickleMe Plant, a great stocking stuffer! Review (and a Giveaway)

Are your children fans of science? DO they have green thumbs? Well I have a great gift suggestion for you, a TickleMe  plant, this is an amazing plant that moves when you tickle it! Here is a little more information about this from the website:

Our mission is simple: We want every child (and those young at heart) to have a positive experience growing plants. Growing the TickleMe Plant® from seeds, will be an adventure children (5 to 105)

Started by brothers Mark and Larry Chipkin, the TickleMe Plant Company strives to expose children and adults alike to the joy and importance of plants. It is a fantastic learning experience for children, and there are many exciting experiments that you can do to your plant that MOVES when you tickle it.

My daughter is such a great little gardener, she has a great green thumb. Luckily she does not take after me, I have a bit of a black thumb when it comes to plants. I love to garden and I love plants, but for some reason they always die when in my care, I can’t figure out why! My daughter was very fortunate to be able to review a TickleMe plant greenhouse. The kit comes with 1 TickleMe Plant Seed packet (Mimosa pudica), 1 reusable mini-greenhouse. 1 plastic mini flower pot, 1 soil pellet, Instructions.  My daughter and my husband started right away preparing the pods and getting the seeds ready.

When the seeds were planted, they started to sprout in a few days. It really was quick growing, the little green sprouts were there very quickly. And in week or two, here are the TickleMe plants! My daughter was so anxious to try to tickle the plants, she checked and made sure the plants were properly watered every day.

Then one day they were open and ready to tickle, my daughter was bursting, but she wanted to gather the family so we could all enjoy the moving plant. And then it was time to tickle, she touched the leaves of the plant, and the plant slowly closes… it really does move, and it is pretty cool. My daughter loves the TickleMe plants and tickles them whenever she can.

So if you have any young gardeners or science buffs on your holiday gift list this year, make sure to check out the TickleMe plant, that special someone on your holiday gift list will just love it!
